My gf and I are wanting to experiment with anal sex and play. I have had anal sex with previous partners, but she has never had any anal experience. I've done my research on here and find that most of you prefer water based lubes over silicone bc of the silicone affecting toys. We currently do not use toys though. I am still convinced that water based is the way to go, just for clean up purposes, but there are so many to choose from.

I'm just asking those of you that have anal sex, which brand do you prefer and use.

Also any advice for us as beginners would be very appreciated.

I'm sure you've heard just get her used to one finger and after she's used to two fingers at the same time, you may want to introduce a toy. When that's fine try going for yourself.

I don't have any lube recommendations except read the reviews of the top rated ones on Eden. I think Moist is a favorite.

If you're not playing with toys at first, you can use any lube you want. Silicone will sometimes last longer because it's thicker than water-based, but if she's a beginner, you probably won't be in there too long.

I actually prefer virgin coconut oil. You don't have to worry about it messing up her body, it'll actually benefit it while giving great slip and not messing up the sheets or clothing. You can find it in health food stores or online.

The problem with oil is that its greasy and can be difficult to clean up compared to water lubes. However, if you decide to go with coconut, I recommend getting organic ones.
