Young Love

Contributor: C-Rae C-Rae
Do you believe that love can be found at a young age? People always tell me I'm too young to be "In love".. I'm 19 years old and my girlfriend is 17 years old. We've been together for 2.3 years and we hardly ever fight.. Maybe once ever.. 6-8 months. She's truly amazing.

Besides the point: Do you all believe in True love at a young age?

My husband and I met when I was 16, and he was 19. We got married the next spring, had a baby the same year, and have been together for over 13 years. We just knew we were meant for each other. Sometimes you just get lucky and find your soul mate early on! So, yeah, I totally believe you can find love at any age.

I believe it. I met my guy when I was 12 and he was 14, and when I was 14/15 and he was about 16/17 we became close and wanted to date but couldn't, and we expressed our love for each other then even though everyone we knew said we were too young.
Time passed, and finally we're together and have been officially for 1 1/2 years almost
We've had feelings for each other for 7 years at least (known each other for 9 years now), and we've proved everybody wrong. It's the best feeling in the world to know I'm with this person.

IMO-Age is irrelevant. Love doesn't have an age. I believe you can find your TrueLove/soulmate any time, anywhere regardless of what age the two partners are. It all depends on the two people, their feelings, desires, & how they express them.

My Fiance & me met through some friends over the net he was 11, I was 13, been best of friends for 4 years then we took it a step further, Started a relationship, met IRL we were still young, but we didn't care our love burned with a passion. After awhile I got pregnant; moved in with him. Now he's raise our lovely 6mo daughter. I'm 18 now & hes 16. We're doing fine, We fight quite often only because we love eachother to piss eachother off. But thats just normal to us we call it our "Pillow Talk".

I believe it's possible but I also believe a lot of young couples use it as an argument for why they're going to be together forever. I know I did it - I bitched at a ton of people about how they needed to be more supportive of young love because my boyfriend and I got engaged when we were both 17. It didn't last, and I realized I was using "young love is possible" as an excuse more than anything.

Well, at 19 and 17 what exactly is there to fight about?

I believe love can be found as a young adult; I found love at 15. It's whether or not you can stand the test of time that people usually doubt.

I know people who've been together since high school and middle school. Some of them go to college with me and the others are my grandparents. So yeah, you can find love at any age; just be sure it's love and it should all be fine.

Of course. I know people who were each other's first in high school, and now they're each other's only, and they're married with 3 kids.

Age doesn't matter, and sex/race doesn't matter either. You can't choose who you love and you can't choose their age either. Love will find you when it's ready.

Age is just a number. There is no age limit on love. I'm 20 and I met the love of my life six months ago. I was only 19 and he had just turned 21. It was no lie, love at first sight. We hung out twice and had created such a remarkably strong bond.

Well, being a 19 year old in love, I'd say yes, haha. My parents met when they were like 19-early 20's and they're still together, so yeah, it's entirely possible.

It's very easy to be in love at 17, 19, 22. It is even possible to find your soulmate at a young age. It's harder to make it through all the obstacles of life and be able to grow together through all the changes and to get to spend the rest of your lives together.

I think you need a certain amount of maturity to have a mature relationship. But I see no reason why you couldn't grow into such a relationship with someone you met when you were young.

I think being between the ages of say... 17, 27 & 37... you are going to look for, find and tolerate drastically different people, situations & relationships. You are probably way more open to possibilities at a younger age, but not as wise as you will be eventually. So... I think it could go either way. Depends on the individual circumstances.

I do not think age is the determining factor. I think maturity in a relationship is the key. Some people at 50 don't have it and should not be in a relationship. Build a solid foundation now because the storms will come. You will both grow and develop over the coming years, you have to have great communication and both have to be unselfish in the relationship. But that is true no matter what your age.
