Anyone tried any "unusual" toys for sex play, and either loved them or hated them?

Hehe...time for me to come clean...the Mete-oh-rite was an made-up item used in an April Fool review two years ago. It was put together by Kindred and some of the EF staffs! They painted the Fling with metallic dimpled paint, then added some gravel over the paint to achieve that look. Here's the revelation thread posted by Ansley.

Oh my gosh, I never saw that before, how hilarious!!! I can't believe the alien sex reference, LMAO! This was so well done, I wish I had been around when it happened! I sure miss all the great people who used to be here! Not to say the remaining aren't great, too but there were so many characters and I sure miss the fun we had here!

Rossie, I didn't know you have a Fling! I almost bought one (well traded for one) from Woman China, but I didn't have enough stuff to trade with all the other goodies I got from her (like the Eroscillator, Form 4, Matryoshka, etc.). Don't start talking to Rossie about her favorite toys! She'll make you realize that you ~need~ the toy. She's done it with me with the Fling and Eleven, even though I'm so certain that I'll never manage the Eleven!

I'm actually stalking reputable people's sale threads for both of those, but they're both pretty unlikely to come up. less

Oh wow, I would jump on a stainless steel style Fling, too! And once you mentioned the rocking versus thrusting motion, you sold me on it even more...hmmm, looks like SYN is right, I have to avoid asking you about your faves, otherwise I'll find more items I just have to have, lol! Actually, that's OK with me, I need goals in life, right?

Compared to the frenzy with which I collected toys this past year, the last few months have been a disappointment waiting for new items to come out or get in stock here. I remember checking all the Thurs and Fri sales every week and the Facebook Friends sales, too. I bought stuff every week, or at the least, every other week and it was so much fun! I sure am glad I didn't hesitate to just go ahead and buy my own toys rather than wait to gather enough points to help defray the cost more, as we all know what happened (and it happened during my sixth month as a member, so I didn't have hardly any time to earn points). I just spent all the points I had every time I placed an order and I saved about 5-10 bucks per order, if I was lucky. But I finally did save up points and get to buy one item using all points before the change to 15% max. limit, the Vr12 rabbit by Jopen. The only thing I have yet to try that I can think of, at least material wise, is a wooden toy. But I have to say I LOVE the weight of my stainless steel Pure Wand and my large size Fucking Sculpture which is a huge piece of heavy glass. Speaking of, I think I need to go dust off my Pure Wand now, lol... less

I have the G-Spoon in the large size! *said with glee* I bought it from Lori, along with a few other things to help finance her trip to CatalystCon (and because I would never otherwise be able to afford the $160 for a hunk of glass, lol!) It's different than the pictured G-spoon on the site, not as curved like an 'S', but more so on just one end and it has ridges all along the top of the inner curve, running the length of the piece. It's more like the Nike swoop logo in shape, but without as sharp a curve, if that makes sense? I think it might have been a trial/experimental shape because it really is different enough from the picture n the site. Man do I love it, but I really would love to try the Corkscrew and the cucumber one, if I had my choice! I sure would like Eden to sell them, but I doubt with their focus on their in house branding and lesser high-end toys, that they will bring them, darn it. less

@Wicked Wahine: So you got your G-spoon not too long ago? I think it has an interesting shape -- wider and flatter than the other designs, right? The Cucumber's pretty cool also!

I was during that time, unfortunately. I also didn't know you were looking for one, so I didn't know to tell you. Lori has a lot of toys she doesn't want and in the past she actually sent them all (at her own expense) to Sangsara in Canada!

Well, when she needed money to go to CatCon, she decided to sell and posted on Twitter and Facebook, but I was the only one, I think, who responded. I didn't save the email with her list of some of the items for sale, but I can ask her for an updated list, OR you can email her, tell her I've recommended her to you.

She's a sweetheart and she is doing a photography project that requires some start-up money, so I am sure she would be glad to sell more stuff. If you prefer to go through me, that's no problem, I will let you know whenever she tells me what she has available and I can ask about items you're looking for.

She is stopping her giveaways because of her disgust with the hatefulness, backstabbing and unethical behavior of many of the review blogger community - especially the Twitter cliques. She wants to focus more on other things and I don't blame her. You know, a bunch of the bloggers would enter her giveaways (she did one a day for like two months!) multiple times under different pseudonyms! She also believes (as do I) that many were fixing the results of their own giveaways to let friends win. Basically, there is a lot of scamming or gaming the system, so to speak, and now the companies are getting fed up with what looks to them as people just trying to get free stuff and then selling it for profit...and without even doing a decent review. Changes are coming down the pike as far as companies now planning on requiring signed contracts with them for getting review items (I know Bad Dragon already requires them to agree to not sell their free review items -- and yet one I know of sells hers on their own forum!). And they are going to get picky about how much they send and to whom they will send things based on whomever they think does a decent job. So this means she will not be having as many items to sell in the future, but you never know because so many of the companies love her and send her all their new items. less

In the last pix in the sunlight, you will see an odd coloration that looks opaque, but it's just the iridescent coating that's reading oddly on camera! In real life, it is the usual rainbow sheen seen on an oil slick or on a soap bubble's surface.

I think there are some great bloggers, it's just that a good deal of the vocal ones who do the bullying are ruining it for everyone and those are the ones who were starting to cause Lori too much grief to be ignored anymore. One of the ones she took under her wing and helped her get started blogging and shared her ways of getting items and whatnot is a real piece of work. One day Lori gets a message from Jopen who sent her a copy of an email they received in which this woman Lori had helped sent Jopen an email telling them that Lori was unqualified and a terrible reviewer who's out of touch with what other people want, etc. She said they should hire her instead since she's younger and a better reviewer, etc. Since Jopen forwarded the email, there was no doubt as to who sent it and Lori read exactly what this bitch said. Jopen sent it to her because they love her and they were shocked and were asking her if she even knew who this person was. This person still had the nerve to always enter Lori's giveaways under two different names, unfortunately for her, Lori recognized her Tumblr account that she used as the other entry and so she would just remove those two entries from the list before the program chose the winner. The same bitch has been going behind Lori's back with others in the cliques and spreading lies meant to ruin Lori's reputation (as have others, I've seen the tweets and I know the story) . This is just a little drop in the bucket of what these people do all the time and I can't possibly list everything here. It's just gotten to the point that now, the manufacturers are tired of what they see as the ones with their hands always out and then they do a substandard review and turn round and put the item up for sale the next day. I would certainly hope that legitimate reviewers continue to get items to review and perhaps they can focus more on those who give a thorough review for the free item because I know a bunch who do and the scammers are hurting everyone *sigh* less
