How concerned are you about cleanliness in sex?

Contributor: Eucaly Eucaly
Concerns about cleanliness would include, but not be limited to, the following:

-Wanting to wash your genitals before receiving oral sex.
-Wanting your partner to do likewise before giving to them.
-Wanting to bathe or shower before sex.
-Never having sex when sweaty or when your partner is sweaty.
-Trying to get rid of bodily fluids as fast as possible after sex.
-Shaving, trimming and/or combing public hair to make it easier to keep it clean or to make sure nothing is crusted there.
-Cleaning and/or sterilizing toys before and/or after use.
-Using toys with condoms.
-Using condoms for primarily cleanliness reasons instead of disease prevention or pregnancy prevention.
-Brushing teeth before kissing/foreplay.
-Washing the outer anal area and/or having enemas before anal sex or rimming.
-Not wanting to put lubes with weird chemicals or anything that might stink or be unhealthy inside you or inside your partner.
-And anything else you can think of!

In order:

1. I do prefer to be fresh before receiving oral sex, but if I've had a shower recently and haven't gotten too sweaty, I'm okay.

2. Same as above, reverse.

3. Same as above, but not as strict.

4. I am more comfortable if we're not sweaty, but sometimes it's okay if it's very spontaneous sex.

5. Yes, I try to get rid of fluids as fast as possible but not really because of cleanliness, mostly to prevent UTIs. Though now that I'm accustomed to cleaning up after sex, if I don't, then I feel kinda gross.

6. I trim, but I trim for my own comfort, especially during my TOM. Not really ever worried about anything crusting there.

7. I clean my toys after every use. Sometimes immediately, but often I'm so spent that it waits until morning. Depending on the material of the toy and how it's stored, I will at least rinse it off before use.

8. Toys only get used with condoms if they're somewhat porous and being shared; but my more porous toys are usually only for one person.

9. I haven't used a condom in so long! That's the joy of being monogamous and infertile!

10. Only if we've had onions/garlic/other mal-odiferous. Or if Mr's been drinking whiskey. Or in the morning. (morning breath is gross)

11. Yes, yes. YES!!!!!

12. The only lubes I'm ever concerned with are the ones that have an effect (warming/cooling/tingl ing) because they give me UTIs almost always

I'm a very clean person in general. I don't think of myself as OCD about cleanliness even in regards to sex, but there are a few things that make it more enjoyable for me and general cleanliness is one of them.

we are concerned about washing up before sex and brushing our teeth. Those are our major concerns. I prefer her to shave also, but that is not a must.

I guess I'm not overly concerned about any of that stuff. I mean, I want to make sure I'm not all crazy dirty down there, but honestly in my book sex is meant to be all natural and not the cleanest activity. So I don't go crazy. Nothing has to be sterile or anything even remotely close to that.

I don't want it to sound like I'm filthy, I just don't really worry about being freshly shaved, scrubbed, sterilized and 100% sweat free before, nor am I in a huge hurry to get fluids, sweat or lubes washed up afterwards. Reveling in the aftermath is half the fun!

I'm not overly concerned. I shower and shave every day, so I usually consider myself good to go.
