I have had a few partners with and a few without it. The only difference I saw was that tongue rings got in the way. They don't allow you to use your entire tongue because there is a bar bell there.

i dont think a tongue ring makes it better, just different. My boyfriend is good with or without it but it just makes for a different texture. I had one when we first started dating(that unfortunately went closed) and he liked it with and still does without.
