I don't care for period sex... I feel disgusting during my period (physically, not psychologically - horrible cramps, stomach aches, head aches, muscle aches, and just a general feeling of malaise, like the flu) and am rarely in the mood when on it.

Never! I find that sex during my period is actually very painful, I cannot get comfortable and things just feel abrasive. However, I'll to whatever else my guy wants (as long as he is sweet about it). I'm usually horny as hell and feel good to be able to give him some pleasure. But, it just hurts too much.

There is no reason not to, it does not cause infection. It helps with my cramps which is great since they can get REALLY bad sometimes - enough that I can blackout from them. I've always used a condom with any of my partners if we're going to have sex when I'm on my period. Less mess, easier to clean up, doesn't totally throw off pH balance, etc.
