Silicone lube with silicone toys

Now I've always been told not use use these together or they would break down, BUT recently I read if the toy is actually 100% silicone then it doesn't do any damage. Is this true or just something someone made up?

I do believe that's true. I've read it in some reviews where the person actually tried it. I haven't tried it myself, but it does make sense to me.

I read an interview, I believe with the founder of Tantus and she said high quality silicone toys won't react to high quality silicone lube. When in doubt spot test first, but I'd suppose toys from brands like Tantus and Vixen wouldn't have a problem with Sliquid silicone lube.

I've heard that also and that the warnings about to avoid using silicone lube with silicone toys originated years ago when silicone toys were of less quality. I gotta say I still only use water based lubes, I'm just used to that now.

It sounds like for some toys, it's actually fine. That said, since it can be hit or miss, I'd go with avoiding silicone on silicone unless you're 100% certain other people who tried it

I agree with this. While spot testing may be an option, it's still kind of a gamble. While i do trust brands like Tantus, Lelo, ect to always use high quality 100% silicone, i'd rather not put my expensive toys at risk. As always, better safe than sorry.

Pjur is making lubes for toys, and the ingredients look like silicone derivatives. so maybe they found a way to get it to work.

Pjur is approved for use with We-Vibe. There are different grades of silicone. You can't mix grades. But I don't care for silicone lube so I haven't tested any.

Agreed, it's not worth the loss of an expensive toy.
