P Spot Toy Recommendations?

Contributor: - Kira - - Kira -
I had been telling my husband that he might enjoy prostate massage. He was weirded out by the idea for the longest but has finally decided to give it a shot. He has tried the Provoke and my Pure Wand. He says the the Provoke didn't hit his prostate but the Pure Wand did. So, with that in mind, we are trying to find a new toy for him. We were thinking silicone but aren't dedicated to it.

We've gone through all the product pages but I think he's a little overwhelmed and just says "I dunno" every time I show him something. He hasn't gotten the hang of being able to eyeball if something will feel good or not.

What we need is something that will curve similar to the Pure Wand to hit his spot. I think he'd like something that vibrates, but he's not sure. Also, nothing too large as I think that might freak him out a little.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Much appreciated!

Are you looking for a wand type toy or something hands free?

For wand type, the Tantus G-force is similar to the Pure Wand but made of silicone.

For vibrations, Billy is a nice choice.

You could also try any dildo wit a curve that you may have.

Can you explain how the hands free works? Does it rock itself? O.o I'm lost when it comes to male sex toys. lol

Going to look at those. Thanks!

Hands free toys are inserted and he uses his PC muscles to stimulate his prostate. He can also sit on them and rock them. Nexus and Aneros are two brands that have many different styles but there are certainly others. In my experience, many of these do not stay in through orgasm.

Okay, that's kinda what I had looked at design wise because of the curve but I didn't realize they were supposed to be hands free. My husband just told me he knew that. Now I feel dumb. LOL Seems kinda pointless if they don't stay in during orgasm though...

The hands free massagers are all different from one another and some stay in better than others. Just to add to the confusion, the orgasms that Kindred is talking about is a regular ejaculatory orgasm with the aid of having a massager or dildo stimulating the prostate. This is a much stronger orgasm than what 99% of men regularly experience, but it is only one type. The other type of orgasm is the P-spot orgasm, which is also called the Super O, and for good reason. These types of orgasms are completely different than regular orgasms, and they are non ejaculatory, save for a little precum that might spurt out. When I have these orgasms, I usually have quite a few over the course of an hour long session. Never does the massager fall out, and also I tend to no have issues with massagers coming out when I am having an ejaculatory orgasm either. As Kindred noted, both Aneros and Nexus make some really good hands free toys. I happen to really like the Nexus Excel as far as a hands free toy that makes really good contact with the prostate. Also, the Pure wand that you already have is an excellent P-spotting toy.

The Pure Wand has given him actual P-spot orgasms like you're talking about. We haven't really tried for multiples in one sitting before.

The Excel must be really awesome. It's sold out in all FIVE colors it comes in. I put an alert on it. Thanks!

If I remember correctly, there was a recent lawsuit where Nexus agreed to not market several models in the US for several years. You may need to look elsewhere if they are still even available or try another model.

Edit: I found the article (link). To settle a lawsuit with Aneros, the makers of Nexus agreed to not distribute several of their toys in the US until 2016.

Well, at least it wasn't a lawsuit because someone got seriously injured. Still, that sucks. The Glide looks similar to the Neo (just a little smaller). My husband said that one looked good. We might try that one. I guess we'll get the Excel in 2016.

The Glide and Neo look pretty similar to the Excel. Also if you're interested in vibrations, the G-Rider is very good. The Ridge Rider is similar but smaller. The only downside to their vibrators is that they are not waterproof.

Adding all of those in the list. I ordered the Glide a second ago. If he likes that one, I'll see if he wants the G-Rider or the Ridge Rider. I don't know how he'll feel about the ridges. Can't hurt to try them out and see!

I have the Ridge Rider, and it's a nice toy, although it can be a pain to clean in my opinion. My favorite way to use the RR is without the vibe inserted believe it or not. I lost the bullet that it comes with some time back...I have no idea how, but I still use it, and when the bullet isn't inerted it has a nice squishyness that feels good to squeeze against. Also, as you suspected, the ridges do present an irritation issue, so it's not a toy you can use daily like the Aneros or even much larger but smoother dildos.

I showed it to him and he said "I dunno." LOL He said he wasn't so sure about the ridges. He said he thinks they might hurt. I'm texture sensitive so I think he got the idea from me that texture = owwie. I explained that lots of people actually like texture. He seemed a little hesitant. I think that might be something to work up to.

When used anally texture can very easily = owwie, at least until you really learn how to relax. Start with something smooth.

Too bad about the Nexus toys. I have both an Aneros and Nexus, and I like the Nexus better. All the Aneros models except for the Progasm have this thin external stimulator that just doesn't feel good, and the Nexus body design really works over my prostate.

The Gyro can be nice, you can use it with either hands or handsfree, and the base is easy to grab onto during sex (provided his butt is not pressed against the bed) for a little extra stimulation.

As long as he goes after you and you clean up afterwards there's no reason you can't both use the Curve. Stanless steel doesn't hold germs. Just make sure you rinse off after spraying with bleach solution if you go the bleachwater sanitizing route (and only use 10% solution of bleach in water).

Yeah, I think we will stick to smooth things for now and work our way up.

The Gyro is on our "to try" list. I'm bumping it up the ladder.

I'm not all that big on sharing. I'm a germ-a-phobe. The Wand was a one time thing which is why I have to find him his own toys now. LOL. Even with bleach, I don't feel like things would get clean enough. *shudder* I'm really paranoid about germs, even just from shaking people's hands. So yeah. He may actually get his own separate Pure Wand. I don't even trust the boiling, really. X.x

It's OK to be concerned about germs, but your phobia is unreasonable when viewed in light of what we as humans know about bacteria and how to kill them. Boiling will kill any bacteria on a nonporous surface, as will a bleach solution. I think buying another Pure wand is a waste of money. For what it's worth, your partner, even if he had is own pure wand, should be disinfecting before and after each use as it is.

Just to clarify, boiling (at the temperatures we are capable of) and bleaching will not completely sterilize a toy. There are some microbes that can survive under those conditions. However, the chances of a problem are extremely minute and additional precautions are likely unnecessary.

That totally doesn't make me feel better. X.x Anyway, what you have to understand about my germ issue is that I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Bipolar so I have lots of very irrational fear. Germs happens to be one of them. I wash my hands so often they bleed, so putting something inside of me that has been inside someone else no matter how sterilized it may have been freaks me right out. I know it's completely stupid, but I have lots of stupid fears so I'm pretty used to it!

The Glide came in! He likes it but we tried to use it during sex and it seems to want to come out if there's a lot of movement going on. He had to hold it in to get it to work. Once we got it to stay the result was pretty awesome!
