Prostate massage... Through your abdomen?

Contributor: MaouMew MaouMew
I've recently discovered that I can stimulate my prostate through my abdomen - by applying pressure a few inches below my belly button. The feeling is as intense as using a toy, however I have a concern... Could I be hurting myself by doing this? If wikipedia is to be trusted, the prostate is nestled behind the bladder - so I would have to be applying pressure to my bladder to hit the prostate. Is this bad? Should I stop? Is there a certain amount of pressure I can safely use, if past a certain amount is dangerous?

I'd be interested in hearing if anyone else has done the same as well as any medical advice/knowledge regarding this subject.

I've never really heard of anything like that before, I'll try to talk to some of my friends and see what they say about it. I wouldn't think it would hurt you unless you're applying enough pressure to actually hurt yourself, in the end all your doing is pressing on yourself, and my doctor presses my entire abdomen in so hard it hurts on every checkup I get. So I wouldn't think it would be damaging.

Bodies are complex and interconnected. You need to be your own expert. I can stimulate my prostate by flexing my stomach muscles, so I don't see what harm can come from it. If you experience pain or any weird result than discontinue, or research further. In eastern traditions such as Chinese or Indian, self massage is highly recommended for a bodies health. Specifically, working the abdomen is good for digestive and sexual health. So I'm no expert, but if yoru being gentle and its pleasurable, than go for it. I'll try to incorporate/ pay more attention to this phenomena during my next massage. Enjoy.

As long as your bladder is empty there shouldn't be too much of a problem. The bladder is muscle, and can be slightly squished without too much problem, but if it's full you'll have hydraulic force that could go up to your kidneys (you'd probably need to press hard for that to happen).

Honestly I don't think that is a safe way to massage it

I really doubt you're stimulating your prostate. It's no wheres near that area, you may as well be rubbing your nipples. Sounds to me like you're rubbing your bladder, because you would have to be going through that anyways to get to the prostate(not to mention pelvic bone).
