If someone has only ever been with the opposite sex, do you think they can call themselves Bi?

They way you identify is up to you. If you feel like you're bisexual, then you are. Easy as that.

It's not the action, it's the desire.

I'm of the opinion that you definitely can. I don't see why anyone would call themselves bi if they are NOT actually attracted to both....

Sorry - I'm on the other side of this one. I'm one of those odd ducks that believes words have meanings. White is not black, just because you say it is.

If you have sexual relationships with both males and females, that makes you bi. If you fantasies about it - but don't do anything about it, I suppose you are bi-curious - but not actively bisexual.

If you're attracted to the both sexes then I would think your bi regardless of following through.

Yes, bisexuality is any degree of desire for both genders.
I knew I was bi before I had sex at all.

I'm a virgin, does that make me asexual? Hell no. Sexual orientation is based on desire and attraction.

It counts as bi, but you should be open to the idea that maybe it's not all you think it'll be. I feel that way! I consider myself pansexual and I LOVE the female body, but I've never been with a woman--I realize I may try it and not like it, but for now I'm comfortably pan.

If they identify as bisexual, that just means that they are attracted to both. It doesn't have to mean they've been with both. For the same reason someone can be gay or straight before they've been with someone of their preferred sex, someone can know that they're bisexual before they've been with both.

I think people can classify themselves as whatever they want without any restrictions

If you're a virgin you can still be straight or gay. Orientation doesn't count just on sexual experience. I think it's perfectly fine to identify yourself as a bisexual.

If they're attracted to both they're attracted to both no matter who they are with.

Totally counts. If you're interested in both sexes then you're bi. I mean if someone says this doesn't count then answer me this; if you're a virgin dose that automatically make you a-sexual? Of course not. So why should this be any different?

Definitely! Sexuality is about attraction, not experience.

There are so many people that have voted for "It doesn't count as Bi" and that truly concerns me. Do you really believe you need to have sex with someone before you count yourself as attracted to them?

What about a complete virgin? Should they not be allowed to think of themselves as straight? Gay? Straight-curious? Do you not have a sexual orientation until that day where you lose your virginity?

I don't think experiences have anything to do with orientation. If thinking of the same sex gets your juices flowing one way or the other, you're attracted to them and what you consider your sexual orientation should reflect that.
