There is one trans*woman whom I've seen around my college campus since I was a freshman. I remember not knowing what to make of her at first, but every time I walk by her now I smile and make eye contact to acknowledge her. It's amazing because to me, even the most ordinary article of clothing looks beautiful on her.
It's because of her that I have adopted the following mentality: if I ever wonder about a person's gender, I immediately ask myself "Does it matter? Does it make them any less of a person?" And my answer to both of these questions is no.

My old roommate was trans! She was a bitch, but my new roommate is also trans and I love her to pieces. xP I have a lot of good friends who are.

I don't know any trans people personally, but there are some in my community and I'm fans of some transsexual people. I don't see anything wrong with it, they're just being themselves.

If I know any trans people IRL, I don't know that they're trans. I "know" quite a few on here and they seem like just folks.

Well, my ex is transgender, I had a friend in my local PRIDE group group who was trans. I loved him, he was a nice guy. And finally I just recently meet a MtoF who is very smart and friendly. Frankly, I can't begin to understand why people have such an issue with trans-people. It's got nothing to do with anyone but the person feeling trapped. but hey, I'm a lesbian, so I guess excepting people is easier for me.

In my local area, I don't know any. But I have about 6 friends online that are trans*. I count them. :3
