Do you think these "movie marathons" are a total cop out?

It appears one station is playing a "marathon" of "How to train your dragon", another station is doing "Christmas Story"....over and over, and over all Christmas day long.

Do you think it is a cop out on trying to come up with programming to play the same movie or show a dozen times????

Meh. It's understandable. Especially with A Christmas Story. That movie is such a classic. Christmas isn't even my holiday, and I love that movie. People have a tradition to watch it at some point during the day, and so it's nice that they can catch it if it's on all day, and they have other plans. Besides, it's just TV, so I can't say I care one way or the other.

I understand that people can have varying plans during the day but DVRs and On Demand are so prevalent that repeating a show all day long is antiquated.
