I'm happy to be off. The past couple 4th's I have had to work.

My husband and I both work for a grocery chain (Publix) that is open for regular hours on the Fourth, but we were able to request the night off (and in turn got the whole day) so we could take our 2 year old son to watch the fireworks.

At one job everyone is off the 4th and I requested the 5th.

At my other job a lot of people work the 4th if it falls during their regular schedule. It doesn't for mine.
