I'm going to a Buddhist temple with my mom Monday morning. I have no idea what we're going to do there, but I have to be dressed in either a vietnamese or a chinese traditional dress. I haven't chosen what I'm going to wear yet.

I've been to a Buddhist temple in San Jose once (long time ago). My husband and I are not very traditional, and we don't have relatives anywhere near us, so we'll just have a New Year's Eve dinner, and get it over with.

Hope you'll receive lots of lucky money!!!

My ex is Chinese and never took me out to anything like this, or even suggested we go. I kinda wish she would've though.

Hope you have a great time!

Thanks. But unfortunately, the older I get the less money I get. In a couple of years my family will expect me to start giving red envelopes to the younger ones. Well, I'll get what I can and give when I must.

Thank you. Chinese New year in specific areas can be quite the spectacle, so I hope perhaps one day you may experience it somehow.
