Due to fire risks my city has banned all fireworks in city limits this year. Can you still shoot them off where you are at?
Can you shoot off fireworks where you live?

we can but the people net to us turned us in so thye told us not to

The vendors in our area are only allowed to sell the ones that we are allowed to use.
07/02/2012
Yep, low fire risk here fortunately. I'm cheap and there's a great show within walking distance, so I'll just do that instead of buying some
07/02/2012
Most definitely!! And we do, too--a couple of years we were still lighting them at 4am.
07/02/2012
Yes, and no. I would not be allowed to shoot them off on MY street, but people 2 streets over can. The reason behind this is that I do live in an area where they are legal, but on my particular street, the way the houses are lined up, they are a bit closer than on other streets, because we are what is considered "water view property" and those houses are TOO close to the water FRONT houses, so they consider it dangerous, plus they can end up in the trees that separate our street from the one behind us too. BUT, we can walk 10 minutes to the park and shoot them off there, or watch the professional shows from across the bay

Yes, but not within city limits.
07/02/2012
Yes but only certain fireworks, they put firestand up in almost every parkinglot.
07/02/2012
I don't think we're supposed to but no one ever listens and no one really gets in trouble for it either.
07/02/2012
It's legal....but if it weren't, I'm sure people would do it anyway :p

God I love pyrotechnics! Legally you can't shoot them off here. We have had 4th of July and New Year's parties with commercial fireworks anyways. We had a friend who's house was hidden in the woods. If they can't find you they can't catch you.

Yes you can here. Only did it once and it was a blast...haha
07/02/2012
Yes but I don't.

No, I live in Colorado, and right now we're having some intense fires. So, using fireworks has been completely banned. I completely understand though. It is far more important to be safe than to cause another fire.

Fireworks are not legal in Illinois. People blow them off anyway. We have the most obnoxious neighbors.

Our power was out for 9 hours yesterday, it was hot, we had no running water and as soon as the power was back on, we were all happy (my husband was rushing back from the Indian Rez where he helps out while we were alone with the aftermath of the horrible storm) and the Human Garbage who lives across the street from us started blowing off M80s when the power went on. I was already out of patience (hours on the phone with the power company, as we don't have running water or toilets when our power goes off) and the noise almost put me over the edge.
They think Disturbing the Peace is a requirement. Assholes.
I love the display that the town next door does. I hope we're going to that. But, I have migraines and constant, abrupt loud noises that I'm not expecting (like the Trash across the street and next door seem to think is so very clever) disturb me terribly.

I think so, I've never done it myself. I've heard others do it.

'Supposedly' illegal ;P
07/02/2012
No ban here this year since we have had tons of rain and flooding
07/02/2012
All depends on the rain leading up to the start of summer.
07/02/2012
Not allowed to! Too hot and dry!
07/03/2012
You are only allowed to if you have a special license, otherwise, it is illegal. You can only sell with a license too. But people set them off all night long on the 4th and the police don't really worry about it and let it go on that day.
My family always has a big get together and the men let them off. The police have stopped by and watched but never wrote a ticket or anything

yes we can. ours just cant leave the ground higher then 6 feet. stupid government rules.

We generally have no restrictions in the city limits but due to an increasingly fast growing fire that has us all on pre-evacuation status we are under a ban this year. Actually there were no fireworks displays for over 100 miles in any direction of us. Too many fires that the towns all decided better safe than sorry.

Oh hell yes. Heck people lean out the windows to light off fire works here. Thispast Spring Festival they lit fireworks so close to the building that it shattered my window. And more often than not, all the car alarams go off.
I hate... I hate.. i hate fireworks!!!!

They have been going off for about a month now and they will end in about a month. all around me its like the 4th every night here.
07/04/2012
Normally we can but currently we're under a drought so they've been ban. That of course hasn't stopped anyone.
07/04/2012
I can light them off here, but I don't.
07/04/2012
not legal here in Australia (except one state)
07/05/2012
