This is so great--I'm going to get to emailing soon.
I am ALSO in San Antonio, so it means a lot to me to know that this project is going towards my own community. I'm sure we all can say this, but it means a lot because I know the economic climate and I've seen how badly it can get here in SA for low income families.

Oops, hehe. I guess I should have read through the rest of the thread before getting all excited and posting my enthusiasm for the idea of taking on a second family. I am seriously pumped about helping these fine people have a wonderful Thanksgiving with their families! What's better than that? I submit nothing does!

If you wanna donate more than what you have right now, go to the forums and start posting like crazy, go to the search box and start searching for different items, compare items, add stuff to your wishlist, do stuff here on eden and you can easily rack up 5-6 bucks by the 4th. It may only seem like a little bit of money, and you may wonder how that could help, but just donate it. It helps. Who knows, maybe the family can be fed on the $300, but what if the total wound up being $303.47? Your 3-5 bucks, hell even a $1 donation, can help and can be a huge difference.

When we cash in points, do we have to use them all at once? I've been using my gift cards (we just got an order and had a "TOY SPREE" last night) and haven't actually cashed any points in yet. I would be happy to contribute. What happens to your points if you don't use them as soon as you cash them in? I'm a little confused.

Can I just "cash in" the amount I want to give? That would work well, if it can be done.

I don't see a problem with that, you are generating a gift card when you turn your points in. Just turn in the amount you wish to redeem and send Victoria the gift card code and amount.

Once you "cash" them in, you get a code that works like a gift card code. SO, you choose the amount you want to donate, cash them in, and send me the code. It's that easy.

We'll be checking the codes, tallying the amounts, and deactivating the codes on Friday.
