Awe, thank you Kristi. I honestly would have been a little sad if I was not able to do this! I am just so glad that EF gave me the opportunity!

In addition to buying groceries I have written emails to local places to see if they would be interested in donating gift cards and what not to the family. How cool would it be if we were able to make this a great end of the year for them, and not just a great Thanksgiving?!?!

That is such an awesome idea! I am so psyched about hearing more about the family, seeing pictures, and then knowing they'll both have wonderful Thanksgiving dinners to celebrate with their children.

YAY!

My Man and I are not rich. Not by a long shot. But, we are fortunate enough to have good food all year round (even if we have to shop at Aldi for the staples to save some) I'll be more than happy to give at Christmas/Yule/Winter Solstice/etc.

There are people who have SO much less.

I'm happy to give up some sex toys so others can have a decent family meal. I think most of us are.

I'm so proud of our little Community and it's generosity.

I can't believe I missed the first EF Points fundraiser

I am still waiting to hear back on my family info, just so you know Victoria. Even if I do lose my internet again I can still correspond with you via email through other computers. It is just harder to get on here on a public computer (like at school or my mom's house )

As you may or may not know, tomorrow marks "National Thaw Day." Yea, I did not know either, until the email I just received from Butterball.

Tomorrow I will attempt to make room in my fridge for our families turkeys. Wish me luck!

The family of ten will be getting a 22 lb turkey, while the family of seven will be getting a 21 lb turkey. I figure that will have them knee deep in turkey sandwiches for a few days later!

Tomorrow I set off shopping again for extra food for our families to enjoy long after Thanksgiving. I plan to post a new video (and this time I hope to do it correctly so it is on this thread) to share with you how much more we can buy and stuff in my trunk.

Stay tuned everyone, and don't forget to begin to thaw your turkeys in your fridge tomorrow!

Hey again everyone. Let me tell you what, I am tired today, but feel great about it.

Last night my friend Maria and I went to the other side of San Antonio to deliver to our family of seven. We filled their entire kitchen table with groceries as the family looked at us in awe. I had requested to take some photos, but the family preferred that we didn't, and so I respected their wishes of course.

Early this morning my three sons and I set up to drive to Sommerset, Texas to make a delivery to the other family. I did not realize what a trek it would be, but my kiddos were true sports.

When we finally got there we were welcomed into the families house with many smiles. I instantly fell in love with this family, and their daughters fell for my boys. It was quite amusing watching the girls run and hide from my boys, just to keep peaking out at them to giggle. My children helped me carry in all the groceries for the family, and they were so thankful.

After all the groceries were carried in we were invited to stay for a while, and of course we did. We talked more about the family, and how they came to adopt so many children (they have adopted eight children in total, and seven still live at home).

The mom and dad used to work together at an assisted living center. It was during that time that they begun to be foster parents. The first two children came together to the home under an emergency placement. They stayed until they were legally available for adoption. At that point the family loved the children as their own, and wanted to make things permanent, and so they adopted both.

Over the years the state contacted the family on more occasions informing them of other children that needed foster parents. Although their plan was to never have more than two children, they continued to take children in.

The love that this family has for each other is so evident. I cannot imagine these children living anywhere else!

On my way out the youngest son asked me where I was going. As I crouched down and told him he asked me if he could come with me for a while. Oh how I wish I could have let him. He was such a sweetie, and a big helper. He had "helped" me with some of the groceries, despite the fact that he has cerebal palsey.

As I finally sit down for the day I just want to thank you all again for all you have done to help these families. Additionally, thank you for allowing me to represent our community and reach out to local families. When I remember what I am thankful for this year each and everyone of you will be in my thoughts.

Oh, Ange -- what a wonderful story! Thank you so much for doing this and for sharing this experience with us.

The family who adopted all those children really touched my heart. I once was a foster child myself and was adopted by a caring family who had taken in foster children over the years. They had children of their own and never intended to adopt. I just happened to stay in their home longer than any of their other foster children and they came to love me as one of their own. I was taken away from them, but they struggled to get me back and to legally adopt me. Lucky me.

I am so grateful that there are people in this world like my parents, like these people who so generously adopted so many, . . . and for people like you. Not to mention everyone else who donated their points to make a difference for these two families this Thanksgiving.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow! I am so thankful for all the kind-hearted souls in this world.

Oh I cried a little. That is just so beautiful. Thank you SO much for updating us on them. I know it can be awkward for them to feel like they're kinda on display, but helping them physically I think helps even us emotionally. So much love!
