What if the recipient says "Oh, were did you buy it, I need to get another, or it does not fit, or it broke"? Are you honest with them about having re-gifted?

If someone gives me something I keep it. I've never re-gifted anything.

I regift and I usally say I'm passing it on to them and if they don't like it I hope they do the same. I usally do this in addition to a regular just for them gift, not as their only gift. I'm too old to hang on to anything that does't bring me joy. It is hard enough not to collect clutter as it is.

No, I don't regift. I believe the item they selected meant enough for them to think of me, that I should take notice and remember them for their thoughfulness. I don't take their efforts for granted. The only exception my be if it is a duplication.

I do regift sometimes, yes. Especially if it's a duplicate or something I can't use. I honestly don't have the space to keep things that don't work for me, especially when I know someone else who will really be able to use and enjoy the item. I don't pass it off as a new gift though. I'll tell them I can't use it, and ask them if they can or if they know someone who can.

I don't regift in the sense of trying to pass something that I received as a gift as a gift of my own. But I have no problem giving gifts away that I do not need and will never use. I'm upfront about it.
