After Christmas is over, how long do you leave the decorations up? Are you one that only takes them down at Easter or do you take them down the day after?
When do you take down Christmas decorations (indoor and out)?

We always take our outdoor lights down by the end of Feb. and occasionally don't take the indoor lights down at all. We do, however, have a really cool set of lights. They actually are white bulbs that, when they are turned on, will show in two rotating colors...but we have a switch that adjusts the colors. It comes in various holiday colors...so we put them up for Christmas in red and green. New years rolls around and we leave them all white and yellow. February we do pink/red, for Valentines day, etc., It comes with 15 color choices, all changing with a switch! It's really cool But the lawn decor, we take down by Feb.

I always have to do it the day after New Years, otherwise I go insane. It's a thing I have.

Most Catholics (I was raised Catholic) leave up their decorations until "Little Christmas" or King's Day, Jan 6. We usually wait until after that, as we were both raised Catholic.

Little Christmas is supposed to be the day the Wise Men got to Bethlehem to visit the Infant Jesus. As we know, it may have taken them months or even a few years to get there. But, we still celebrate their day on Jan 6.

I tend to put them up at the end of November so within a few days after Christmas I'm taking it all down. It's so much better for me with small kids in the house. They are hard on my tree. If we do outdoor decorations, I take them down once it starts warming up.

Ours usually come down some time in January. The indoor decorations almost always come down first because they're inside where it's all warm and we don't have to bundle up and freeze to get everything down. We've been known to leave netted lights up on the bushes until spring in the past..

My parents leave the decorations up until then as well, but my current roommates have interest in keeping the decorations up at all. My great grandmother grew up in Ireland so we actually call it Women's Christmas instead of Little Christmas - the men are supposed to take on all of the household duties for the day and the women have parties and go out. My sister and I used to give our mother small gifts for Women's Christmas.

We take ours down a few days after New Years.

The indoor ones come down New Year's Day. The outdoor ones ... well, it depends. There have been years we've had so much ice and snow that we weren't able to get the deer and such out of the ground until around the end of February or so. On a normal year, though, we try and do it the first weekend of the new year.

my fam doesn't usually get around to taking down the tree till about Jan. we usually take any outdoor deco off at the same time.

I take them down the day after New Year's usually because I get the day off. It bugs me to see xmas lights up too long after that anyways.

We put them up the day after Thanksgiving and take them down on New Years Day.

We usually take them down in January.

I think the last 2 years that we had a tree inside we took it down in April and then May. Though we did decorate it for holidays in between. Throw some hearts on it and ignore the reindeer and its a valentines tree.

i take them down whenever. sometimes my house looks like the "white trash" house on the block, but what are you going to do lol

I don't have outdoor decorations, just indoors. I like to put them up and leave them up for as long as possible, but if it goes on too long it just makes me feel sad. Early January.

The outdoor ones come down sometime in mid-January. The indoor ones have stayed up until nearly Valentine's day before though.
