I'm not talking about immediate family such as brothers, sisters, mom and dad. I'm talking about aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.

Usually (at least, when we lived in the same state) most or all of the family was present for Thanksgiving, Christmas too sometimes but now that most of my cousins have grown up that's a lot less likely to happen.

I will probably go see my parents again during Christmas. We just have a week off during Christmas. I just like to stay a bit longer if I am flying to California.

None of them. We don't speak to my side of the family. And his is a little more difficult to get to for the holidays.

My extended family are all very far away from each other and don't know each other. I have a bunch of little groups of extended family that I visit. But I'm most likely to visit some on Thanksgiving. Christmas is for immediate family only and the rest of those holidays don't count to me.

It is different for both sides. One side I see more on the 4th of July because of the huge get together at my cousin's house. The other side I see more of on Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving for a holiday. The event I am most likely to see the most family at is a funeral, however.

I wish I could make it for Easter to visit family, it was always my favourite holiday.... the flowers, the picnic style food, and pickles. And the colours. I love Christmas because of the scents and the decorations, but Easter is my favourite.

But... I live in China. I get four months off a year, Spring Festival is two months, and summer holiday is two months. I don't get any Western holidays off. Rather, I choose not to take them off.

Christmas because usually everyone has the day off. But most of the other holiday's they work. We figure out time to celebrate together for holiday's even if it's the week after. Dates aren't important; being together is.

I barely see my immediate family (parents, brother, sister) let alone aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. for any holiday. I moved from my homestate (Pa) to upstate New York so we only really see the hubby's family from time to time and even then it's not aunts and uncles.

Although I'm leaving tomorrow to see my sister and her family in Va
