Everyone loves presents! But would you rather someone buy you something from a store or make it themselves?

I love it when someone goes to the trouble of making a homemade gift. So much more special than say a gift card.

I didn't vote because it depends on the person, situation, and gift. I know some people who are super crafty whom I would much rather receive a handmade gift from. I have other people who think they're crafty but just end up making things that I have no use for and are not aesthetically pleasing. I prefer store bought from them or for them to think about what I would like instead of what they like. Then there are the few with no crafting bone what-so-ever. I would hate to see what kind of handmade gift they would come up with.

honestly, as long as its cute, useful, or insightful (or money), who cares? a nice present is a nice present whether its handmade or not.
with some people i'd much rather receive something nice they bought than something they made that means nothing to to me.

it really depends on what the gift. I've made some very nice afghans w/ a color the receiver likes. & then I've bought the typical everyday clothes needed, nothing special. I like my gifts to be something the receiver wants & I put a lot of thought into gifting for the item.

Uhmm, it kinda depends. If it's something that took a lot of effort yes. Or if it's something made by an artsy person yes. Some home made gifts I can do without, but if it's something that took a lot of effort on the other persons part and doesn't look last minute then I appreciate it.
