I wonder why I care sometimes.

Honestly, I'm confused about what your original thoughts are DBD.

I can relate to your feelings, DBD. I am reviewing products here because I think that my reviews help customers to find the products that will best meet their needs without wasting money on trial and error. But I am disappointed in Eden Fantasys for reasons that have been discussed ad infinitum in this and other forums as well as for their refusal to take down reviews that I wrote of products that Eden Fantasys did not provide.

You work hard writing reviews that are meaningful and complete, more than one item you have reviewed I paid for based on your recommendation so you have nothing to feel guilty about. You have helped me in writing my reviews and made it very pleasant for me to share my experiences and opinions even though I had zero, or next to it idea what was proper hygiene or toy choice when I arrived here at EF. I wandered in after reading a blog about the toys here so I am here to say that the blog program works exactly as it was intended.
Yes it is a bit unfair that after I have worked hard to raise my rating it seems all the toys I could now ask to review have already been reviewed, but I feel like there are TONS of products that have no review and need them. They might not be expensive but it is vital to customers that these products have a good honest review. I review everything mainly because I LIKE telling people all about my purchases and I like reviewing some little product that no one is interested in...recently I reviewed a vibe that had been available for ages but no one requested. It has become a staple of my bed play and I love the silly thing, it is colorful and flowery and feels great. If I had chosen a toy rated at the current rate I COULD choose from I might have missed out on a real gem. Imagine how proud I was to see it go temporarily out of stock after my review! That meant so much to me.

All in all Boohoo you are a wonderful, caring reviewer and I hope you can push past those bad feelings and just get your orgasm on...

This thread has been very interesting to read. I started reviewing in August 2007 after stumbling up on the EF website. Hubby and I were just starting to explore toys and at that time, we ordered quiet a few toys on our own. Only after receiving our first order did I submit a review to become a member of EF.

I'm no writer and had no real idea of what I was getting myself into but I did enjoy sharing my experience. I have written lots of reviews on products that we purchased but my ranking still remains fairly low. It was pretty hard to get accepted when I started but it seems that new reviewers are multiplying every day. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, just confusing how quick they can get going. With the economy the way it is right now, we have had to slow down with our purchases and thus, I get to do fewer reviews so I know my ranking will only fall in the months to come. While I hate to see it decrease, I know others are going to submit more reviews and get higher rankings.

The free toys were pretty cool too. I was unaware of a lot of the changes but I just thought I had missed an email or something. There is still a lot I don't understand. I was unaware of the forums too until I was just playing around on the site one day and found them. I don't have a lot of time to post or read them but do enjoy them.

I review products because I want to now but I do understand DBD's frustration. When requesting items to review, it gets frustrating trying to find something that doesn't already have reviews on them. I wasn't aware that the "surprise me" feature was back until I read it in a forum a couple of weeks ago. Again, it may very well have been me missing an email as to the reason I didn't know.

I do have to say that whenever I have emailed the staff at EF, I have gotten fairly quick responses and was ok with the answers I got.

Just thought I would throw my thoughts in here too.

BTW, I have a total of 52 reviews with only part of them being freebies.

I am a new poster here though have been reading both the forum and reviews for many months.

I found this website because I was looking for Kegel exercise balls. I liked that there were reviews from what seemed to be average people who had tested these items. Am I to understand now that some people were "paid" to do this? Does this affect the honesty of their reviews? I might have misunderstood this, sorry if this is the case and I mean no offense.

I have not read all of the comments here but I wanted to post only to say that it is in part because of a review that DBD gave for some Lelo products that I ended up buying them. This was for the Elise vibrator and Bo penis ring. I also purchased the Fun Factory kegel balls (and later some additional Lelo items based on other peoples positive reviews.) I have been happy with all of my purchases and in part I have YOU to thank for that. Please don't give up reviewing, it makes people like me decide what products are worth buying.

I'm not sure I totally understand all that this is about, but I felt it a very good place to post something I've been wanting to for a while now.

I want to thank all of you, especially those who are much more experienced with the toys and reviews than I, for your wonderful reviews!!!

You have helped me so much to purchase products that I really like. I find your reviews to be indispensable. I choose to shop on this site mostly because of them and you.

One thing I have noticed is that some of the fairly new products only have one review. I hope that EF is allowing these products to get into the hands of more reviewers so that we can get more points of view. I am hesistant to buy some of these. I am waiting for more opinions before I spend the money.

Again, this post is to thank you all!!!
