I;m not big on TV. I have several shows that I watch. My fav's are Grey's anatomy and for some reason Desperate Housewives. Lol Neither have been discontinued THANK GOD! I would be upset on that one! Lol. I liked other shows years ago, but can't remember any that I loved that have been stopped.

I was very disappointed when they canceled The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Very good show. Too bad another network didn't pick it up. The Dollhouse was a good show up until they knew they were getting canceled and I felt like they rushed and destroyed the plot just so they could have some closure to it.

Oh my gosh, I was so sad when Heroes got canceled. I agree that it was a pretty terrible show after the first season, but I just really liked the characters. And I always thought Sylar was kinda hot. Haha.
sylar (zachary quinto) is really nice in person got to hang out with him at comic con he is actually the nicest one in the whole heres cast. peter patrelli(milo ventamiglia) is the second most awesome. claire bennet (hayden) is kinda a cunt face in real life.

If a show has run its course, I don't mind. Shows like Seinfeld, Desperate Housewives (No, I don't watch it, but it's in its last season) and Daria ran their course and had to make room for new shows. Some shows stay on too long, and get awful or start repeating themselves, both That 70s Show and 24 and LOST come to mind. They went beyond their "new and interesting" mark and should have ended sooner! Chuck is now in that category. It has gone beyond the original concept and is just awful now. What was once a lighthearted actually FUNNY show is trying to be too serious, the writing has degraded and it should end.

Some shows just weren't given a chance. My Name is Earl was one of the best written and best acted sit coms ever! It was cancelled "because it was too expensive to make." Southland and The Chicago Code were wonderful Cop shows, which were cancelled for the same reason. Yet, CSI in all its forms, continues. It's the same show over and over again, and they now threw in the "new" Hawaii 5-0 which is nothing more than "CSI set in Hawaii, with hot guys" to the mix. Formulaic shows seem to last, I don't know why.

Reality TV is ruining television. Reality shows cost little to make, they get huge audiences (heaven knows why) and they push out GOOD, well written shows who are never given a chance to catch on.

It makes me angry. Boycott crap like The Bachelor The Bachelorette Wipe Out Survivor (that includes ANY show where people have to eat disgusting stuff for points, WHO enjoys this kind of stuff?) and other "reality" programming and watch GOOD shows eventually come back. The networks won't put the time and effort into well made shows, if crap sells their products.

Arrested Development, to me, will always be the king of the wrongfully-cancelled TV shows. Firefly is a close second. More recently, I really got into the NBC drama Persons Unknown. I was a huge fan of Lost and Persons Unknown had a very similar mystery-feel to it. I loved it, but sadly, it was cancelled after one meager season.

On the other hand, I think there are definitely some shows the world doesn't need more seasons of. The American version of the Office could stand to take a cue from the UK counterpart and bow out before it gets any worse. And did we really need all those seasons of Friends?

Okay, I'll stop there before I go on a huge off-topic rant.

Cougar Town was a stupid show, I'll admit. But, it was on our "Must see TV" night and station, so we grudgingly watched it, and sometimes laughed. They were supposed to change the name and come back, but I haven't heard anything else. There was a good show, only lasted a few episodes, with three stories with rotating characters about love and stuff. It was really good. I can't remember the name of it. Thursday or Wednesday nights. Anybody remember what the name of the show was?

There are so many worse shows out there. Chuck was so cute the first season, then he became a "real spy" and the whole thing got serious and stupid. And I hate drawn out sexual tension on TV shows, just fuck, for heaven's sake, while you're both sober(cuz on TV sex doesn't 'count' if you're drunk, evidently) and get on with it! I LOVE my House (he looks just like My Man) but the show is starting to repeat itself, and hemorrhaging cast members. Is there any trouble House hasn't gotten into, but still gotten his medical license back? No real doctor could have kept a license with all the crap he's been arrested for. Agreed about The Office it's done and should die a dignified death, before Jim ends up living in the apartment over Dwight's garage...

Pan Am is absolutely horrible. We watching it once, to fill our need for the MIA Mad Men and we're watching and it was sucking and then.... The stewardesses are SPYS? WTF???? Some things just don't need to be seen. Cold War Era Spy-Stewardesses are one of them.
