I know you might have seen 10 Handsome Men (Who Were Born Female) posted on Kristi's Facebook (Buck Angel makes the list!), but after I went investigating, I also found 10 Gorgeous Women (Who Were Born Male) and wanted to share them both with you guys. I think both these lists are pretty awesome, and it's amazing to see how accepting people have become. Are there any folks who should have been on either of these lists but aren't?

I love these lists, but I disagree with them choosing for number 1 on the women's list someone who merely cross-dresses rather than self-identifying as female.
There's nothing wrong with cross-dressing, but it seems if the article was referring to him with male pronouns, that he doesn't consider himself a woman, and so shouldn't be on the same list with women who have had to fight for their identity.

Agreed. I'm a little disappointed by this, myself. Otherwise, these lists are amazing!
Ehhh... these lists have always left me with a bad taste in my mouth. They're praising trans*people for passing as cisgender and for being good-looking according to the usual cultural ideals (especially the women).
And, of course, there's the whole "Born Male" or "Born Female" thing. :/
I think it's great that we can talk about trans*people and admit they exist -but, meh. These lists both make me feel gross and dirty and I felt glad to know I wasn't alone when other trans*people on Tumblr expressed the same feelings.
I don't think it's wrong to see something positive here, but I'm just giving my opinion as a trans*person who has always found these slightly offensive and degrading.
