Are you ready for the election to be over?

I'm tired of hearing about it. Everyone already knows who they will vote for.
You would think so, but I work with three intelligent professionals who are still "debating" with each other about who gets their votes. It is nuts.

I voted early and I'm tired of getting ads in the mail.
It's the mail on Saturday prior to the vote that was the first time we got anything by mail, and it was a mailbox FULL.

I always hate elections. It's not even about who is the best, just who has the most damaging campaign against the other guy.

Just once I'd like to see a commercial outlining a policy rather than arbitrarily bashing the opposition.
Sadly, negative campaigns work.

What is terrible is that, again, the popular vote winner may not be the guy who takes the White House. Why do we need an Electoral College at this point in time? Someone explain it to me?

It is highly likely that Romney could take the popular vote by a large margin and yet, based on current polls, lose the electoral votes, and thus lose the election.

How can any candidate in this day and age say they have a mandate if the majority of Americans voted against them?????

I'm just really excited/nervous about who will take the cake. There's so much at stake for myself, as I am a college student on financial aid/a lesbian/a woman who uses birth control/and a woman who plans to work "outside the home" when I graduate!

I will be ready for the election to wrap up, however, it's never truly over. It's just that the obnoxious roar of political noise goes down to a more acceptable low-level hum. Eternal campaigns for all!

I am ready for it to wrap up. I've already voted. I feel that at this point in the election, very little new information can sway my vote...save for finding out one candidate is a psycho serial killer. I'm just really excited for a lot of my Facebook friends to shut the hell up. I do NOT post political messages on my Facebook, I feel it's REALLY not the forum for it. I did, however, post a political video just because it was on an issue really important to me in this election, but that's my exception. I have friends who are CONSTANTLY bashing democrats and posting really nasty lies/myths about politicians just to try and sway their friends' votes.

In short, yes, I am ready for the election to be over.

I can't wait for it to be over, but then campaigning for the next election will begin; it's an endless cycle of nonsense.

I am a political junkie, or at least I used to be. My brother is in politics. I stayed up all night in 2000 watching the results. This year I have been more disillusioned with the process than I ever have been. I'm very excited for it to be over, but also scared if the person I didn't vote for gets elected. But I will be thrilled with the ads being over with.

I agree, I think this election is taking forever. It just lacks excitement at all for me.

I'm ready for it to be over too. I'm very passionate about who I'm voting for, but I'm also sick of the campaign ads (from both sides) and general arguments I've been hearing around me about who you should vote for and why. I think at this stage of the game, a majority of people have made up their mind on the issues and know who they want in office. It's time to end all of the stress and just let the voters decide already.
