Any of you out there have a cold that going around your work place or school? it's been going around my school. i caught it & had the body aches, a stuffy nose, & soar throat all night last night. i didn't get to sleep till 5:30 am. i had to skip my only class so i could sleep in. i don't usually have body aches when i have a cold. usually i get a bit of a soar throat & stuff nose for a few days. i was fine after i got some sleep. now i'm just waiting for the stuffy nose to go away. so, do you do anything to prevent catching colds or other sicknesses that float around your work place or school, or do you stick w/ your normal routine & chance it? i chance it. getting colds isn't really a big deal for me. i get a minor 1 almost every fall when everyone starts to get sick. this is the 1st time that it bothered me to the point where i couldn't sleep for a night.

I got it. First time I've gotten sick in three years. Ugh. At least the sore throat is going away, but the congestion is starting and I have a temp of 100.1 degrees. I want to be held by Master, but he's in another country.
My immune system is normally able to fight stuff off, but I've been ... stressed the past few weeks. Came as a surprise, I can tell you.
Oh, and don't EVER use the sugar-free cough drops; the sugar alcohols will mess up your digestive system worse.

My store manager got really sick, came to work sick, and now everybody that's there when he is is catching it. I think my department has gotten it the worst, since he visits us in our office constantly.
It started as just a runny nose, then suddenly a really loud cough, followed by chills, probably a fever (I haven't had time to check), and now coughing gunk up.
I know, I know, it's really bad that I haven't taken the time to take my temperature or anything, but I've been working three weeks straight, which is probably the BIG REASON I caught it so fast and so hard.
I've got lots of vitamin c going into my system, and lots of healthy foods, as well as cold medicine. But for me, I always overload on vitamin c and tea. Usually helps take the edge off.
The worst thing, though, is that I usually chance it, and I'm still going to do the same. However, I ALWAYS have hand sanitizer with me, and make sure I spray down whatever I've used with Lysol, or use a disinfecting wipe.

There have been a number of things going around here. We've had head colds, stomach bugs and strep throat going around lately. That's the only thing I hate about this time of year!

I've got it. My flatmate is a teacher so she catches everything that goes around the school and then passes it on to me.

My S/O came home early from work on Friday congested, with a bad cough. This morning I woke up with a sore throat and now I'm starting to cough too. Like Rossie mentioned, the hot ginger tea sometimes helps. My S/O says he likes it because it helps him breathe better. Hope you feel better soon.

My husband had it earlier last week, lots of coughing and runny nose. I woke up perfectly fine on Friday, then by early afternoon I felt like I had been run over by a train. Saturday I was super achy and my nose was stuffed and runny and I was all around miserable. I stayed awake for a few hours and then went right back to bed where I slept until about 10:30 Sunday morning. Lame ass cold...

my oldest boy sounds like he is coming down with a cold. if he does it will take turns going around the house for a few weeks.
