I love these posts!!!

2014 was an absolutely fabulous year where I achieved the modest goals I set for myself regarding love and money. I became a better person due to my defeats and the hubby and I were able to save some cash to go home for a little reprieve (yes, sometimes living in this city feels like a punishment of death) just to get away from it all. We shared great laughs, great dreams, and shed little to no tears. I look forward to what 2015 brings, if it's even a sliver of what 2014 had in store for us, it will be a pure delight!

2014 I successfully moved out and continued to have a happy, healthy relationship with my new partner. I was able to get and keep a nice, part time job while balancing everything else. I was also able to achieve my personal goals and get good grades in my classes, and am looking forward to the start of 2015 because it will be my last semester before I graduate!

I ran into someone I hadn't seen nor heard from in a long long time.

I finally got some time off to do important rehab to my shoulder, knee and hand. Hopefully my sports activities can last a little longer at an competitive level.

As for the year, well the stock market is up ! Yah !

Our daughter graduated from RN program, continuing to get BS now and looking for a job.

in 2014 I'm living a life long dream that began in 2013. I've been happily dating the guy I couldn't get past in 2012. I moved into a cozy 40's house w/ a huge yard for my dogs in 2013. and this year I'm adding to it. and I finally got my classic 67' Mustang fastback again. I've found something I can get myself into as a way of giving back for all that I'm grateful for. oh, and this has been such a fun year!

I did a lot in 2013. to summarize most of it I completed a 10 months term in Americorps NCCC, which had me doing over 2100 hours of volunteer work, including assisting the red cross with the CO flood disaster. Also visited all but 2 states in the NE (still need to go to W Virgina and Vermont)

that pretty much sums up 2013 in readers digest, feel free to ask if you really want to know more, but be warned I did A LOT in those 10 months.

Oh and in 2014 I'm going to do another term of Americorps, but this time in their Fema Corps program. I'm also working on buying a motorcycle in Jan. I hope to be in a steady relationship too, just started seeing a girl last week, first date is tomorrow!

=3 Well this sounds fun...let's see.
In 2014 I managed to finish writing (and constant re-tweaking...a writer's curse, I'm afraid) just over half of my novel, and I've been showing it off to anyone with working eyeballs because of how proud I am that I finally got off my ass to work on a major life goal.
I also got down to this years "have to weigh x number of pounds or less" weight goal (again) and I'm slowly working on bringing a few clothing designs I've had scribbled down to life with our new sewing machine and some clearance priced fabric. Naturally, I'm dressing more the way I want to now and trying to care less about the opinions of people I'll probably never meet if they make fun of me.

My boyfriend and I have actually started chatting (just voice) on Skype and playing some games together and are working towards getting to meet up and develop a more substantial relationship.

Are you in that "terrible city" temporarily? "Punishment of death" doesn't sound like you are enjoying where you are living too much. What took you there...and why are you staying?

Born and raised here, unfortunately. I can't leave because I don't have any spare funds.

You could get shit-faced, borderline alchol-poising drunk if you took a shot of your favorite liquor every time a newscaster says the words: rape, murder, burglary, theft, tax-evasion, or criminal misconduct by a high-ranking official during a 30 minute broadcast.

In 2014, my fiance and I were able to find a wonderful house to rent in the city, found great jobs, paid off a chunk of our debt, and managed to get some hard planning in for our wedding in five short months. Our cats somehow ended up being best friends, and my dog came to live with us, too, after the first few months.

I would if our families would allow us! His family would shit a brick if we eloped. I actually wanted to just go to the courthouse to get married, but he actually wants a bit of a ceremony aaaaaand, I didn't want to get married until I have my ex-girlfriend paid off, which should be no later than September this year

Oh I am biting my tongue so hard right now...having a wedding because your in-laws want you to is no way to go through life, girl. It starts with the wedding and ends with them telling you which baby food to give your kids, what clothes they should wear and how you should stimulate their learning by not talking to them like babies.

I'm mostly kidding, but you two should do what YOU want, not what others want you to do. Some of the most successful marriages I have ever seen started out with an elopement and I've seen others crash and burn because of the financial distress of the wedding itself.

This is true. I want a court house wedding, and he wants a wedding, but not a WEDDING. I think he mostly just wants all his closest family and friends there.

I honestly think we'll barely even have 50 people there at all, haha.

Buuuut, I definitely like all the ideas I've seen for a fireman wedding. Find a fire station that will let us use their station. I'd hope its the one HE is at, but you know.

I have a wonderful 1940s style dress tea length, simple. wonderful. -sighs happily-

My parents keep trying to get us to get married in this podunk town and I firmly planted my feet in and said "No. No one wants to come here to see a wedding."

The firehouse things sounds absolutely wonderful and will probably be the most unique wedding your relatives will ever see. Go with that one!

Omg! It'll be perfect, I found a picture on Pinterest (seriously, such a disease for crafty people or wedding planning!) where they had the ceremony and reception together. They placed tables and chairs where just chairs would be and had the chairs on just one side instead of both side of the table. The aisle was marked off with fire hose and every few feet were a pair of boots.

omg. love it.

When one of my biggest life goals (getting it properly published instead of just caving and self-publishing) is checked off the list. xD
I overly romanticize the idea of being able to walk into a bookstore or library and obtain a copy of a book I wrote.

It's a fantasy novel centered around a wood nymph and a young human man that are trying to save their planet from the chaos and negativity wrought by an evil sorceress turned shadow goddess...sooo, pretty much just your standard fantasy novel.
I keep trying to type but it gets down to around 40-45 degrees in the house every night and my hands get really cold, stiff, and difficult to move.

Might have to put off any major writing until spring comes around.
