Delete Facebook search?

Contributor: RedGlitter RedGlitter
Hello!

This may be a stupid question, because there may be no way to delete it, but...
Is there a way to delete search history on Facebook?
I've deleted internet search history, but when I type a letter in the search box on Facebook, the names that begin with that letter shows.

SOOOO...not that I'm up to no good , but I'd prefer that it didn't pop up when I let someone else use the profile.

Any way to delete it so the name doesn't come up?
THANKS!!!

i say just start typing lots of different people into the search bar. More options means less chance of getting caught

theres no way to do so. Facebook generates a list of people you may be looking for in their search as soon as you start typing a name. The more you visit a page the more likely that name/even/music page will come up.

Thanks for the info (I think I 'll just type a lot of different names! )
Sorry it took me so long to get back, BUSY! :O

Like I say, I'm not doing anything suspicious, I just searched some relatives profiles...and they are visiting our home soon....sooooo...don&# 39;t wanna let them know I've been snooping. I just find out more via search on Facebook than from people.

Let's just say; I don't trust what a certain someone says and I know that IF something were to happen, SOMEONE would give money "to help" (although he helps too much as it is! ) ...And I wanna save our money! Well, long story, but THANKS FOR THE HELP!!
(Thanks for letting me vent! )

Here's my big question - why on earth are you letting people sign in using your Facebook account?

Actually, there is a way. Go to activity log, there are drop down menus on the side that say "show more". One is "search". You can clear it after clicking the word.

I guess people don't know how to use facebook.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

Sharing social media log ins really freaks me out. But, I am a part of the generation where everyone was incredibly leery of the internet's prowess at the time and those things were guarded with your life.

I'm just a person that trusts that no one is up to any good and I act accordingly! I trust Facebook even less than I trust the people on it, so my account is new and only under my name from here. I had to make up a real sounding first name, Jeannie (cos it rhymes with wahine - pronounced wah/hee/knee). I made it only for Eden stuff and connecting with other Eden people, but I didn't give any more info that I had to, most of it is fake anyway.

I had to give my father the password a few months ago to my email account, long story...anyway, right after he did what he had to, I changed the password, just in case he felt the urge to snoop. There's nothing for him to see, but still, it's not his business. (I keep all sex stuff on a different email site)

Heck, before I had Facebook, my sister was visiting & wanted to show me some of the people I went to school with, because it was shocking to see how some turned out. Anyway, I actually insisted on typing in the password to unlock my computer myself instead of telling her it. I joked to her that she's lucky I didn't have a big screen saver of a dildo up my ass, or something equally shocking when she grabbed the laptop to log into her FB account lol! She fell off the couch laughing because, I assume, she found the idea so impossible to believe. But, I don't have links on my desktop that if overseen could ever embarrass me and I live alone, talk about paranoid! But, you never know, so I also sanitize my computer after every use, too.

I have nothing to hide so I just leave it be. If I'm worried about something I don't want being seen then yes I delete it. The only way I know to delete it though is to clear the cookies on the computer or phone. Then it deletes the history of everything I have done.
