I know my fathers side, but I refuse to know my mothers side. I will not have any contact with them ever!

Yes, I know everything from back to my grandparents and a little about even further back. Heart disease, high blood pressure...it's scary but something we should all know so we can deal with it.

To some extent, but not really. People tend to consider their health private...even in my family.

Only on my mom's side. I know enough that a lot of the men in my family I guess didn't last past their 70's, and the women tend to live quite long, the longest being my great-grandmother living until she was 106 years old! O_O dear lord nana...

I do. We have a lot of heart disease and some mental illness, but thankfully no cancer to date.

We have a pretty serious medical condition that runs in my family, so it's really important to keep track of things like that to me.

Yep. I know what killed my parents, and what killed their parents. In short: smoking, and heart disease caused by being sedentary. The same things have afflicted many of my aunts and uncles.

So, I don't smoke, I monitor my cardiovascular health indicators, and I stay active. I hope it works!

Yep. On one side it is a little scary, on another side people in my family live relatively long, so who cares. Two of my grandparents died from cancer, but both were in their seventies.

My father spent years tracking the family history and in recent years he has been going back and finding them medical history several generations back.
