Do you still catch yourself saying/typing "whom"?

good grief, it's called speaking proper English. Use "whom" whenever "who" is the object of the sentence. Bad grammar is my biggest pet peeve and I correct those who can't speak their own language properly.
"whom" also fits in prepositional phrases. I don't understand why people don't know the rules for who/whom. They're analogous to he/him and she/her.

never use it

I say and type it. I wouldn't consider it "extinct" at all.

I was never very good when I took english in school, it was so boring I often fell asleep. I write today and though I try to be careful I'm sure the 'whom' slips in there from time to time. I try to avoid it because it sounds like the 'royal' we.

Thanks for letting me know it was an outdated term, I'll try to stop using it unless I'm writing for that period of time.

Oh good gravey no, that should be used around a table with people sipping tea, while they gossip, with their pinkie fingers up.

If that's the proper word to use, then I use it.
