Facebook: Tell all or closed book?

I have noticed that there are a select few of my friends that post EVERYTHING that they do. One of my friends will actually outline her "Schedule" for the day or list off everyone she had lunch with (tagging them in her status) and add little notes through out the day as well. Its kind of weird, to me, to do so much to let everyone know what is going on. Sometimes its cool knowing that much about that person, because I feel like I can keep up with her in her day to day life, wihtout having to chat with her all the time. However, that also leaves me really no reason to call her LOL..I feel like we've been talking all week and what else is there to talk about? LMAO....

So, I was wondering what are your "status" habits on Facebook (or myspace, twitter, etc, whatever networking site you may use).

I usually post if I'm not feeling well, if I'm going to go do something fun, or if there has been something annoying me--sometimes, the people on my flist have a habit of posting a lot of the same obnoxious thing at the same time. I generally only post a status once or twice every couple weeks.

I post pictures every 6 months or so for family/friends to see how the boys have grown, but I'm not on there very much. I for sure wouldn't tell what I did all day.

It is mostly for cafeworld. I'm a junkie for it. I do change my status from time to time. I do need to do that more often.

There are days where I have a lot of activity, and then I'll have days at a time with no activity. I don't post every little thing I do because honestly, not everybody needs to know every little thing I do. I post about big things, things that frustrate me, stuff like that.

I just post pictures of my son every now and then. I used to post lots of status updates, but then realized that no one cared and I was wasting time. lol

On facebook? I might post something once a month. And I never get any response. Meh. Shows my place in my friends' social lives. I don't care much. It's just to keep in touch with old friends that I wouldn't be able to otherwise.

On twitter, though? I post roughly... I dunno, maybe 2-4 times a day, not including replies.

Twitter and facebook are two completely different answers for me.

Twitter: I post a lot. I'm a completely open book on there, but it is done under (@TitsMcScandal). So it is more for my kink friends and online persona.

Facebook: There is a small crossover of sexy friends, but for the most part this is for family, coworkers, and classmates I've had. Here I post about 3-5 updates a week. Sometimes less. Rarely more.

I hardly ever post 'status updates' at all actually, but when I do it's either an automated post by Subeta telling everyone about my newest achievement or a short and fairly enigmatic (to people that aren't directly involved in my life anyway) update about something going on.

I don't post much on Facebook, and when I do it's usually a random thought not what I'm doing. I don't like everyone knowing what I'm doing.

I barely ever post to facebook. I tweet a tad bit more frequently, but I really am not much of a e-status updater.

i only post things i find interesting in conversation...

there is a post on the site, and it asked if we would leave our partner for money, this poll even asked about a million dollars, so I asked my boyfriend is he would leave me for a million dollars... He replied "no, not for any amount of money ever. but... if they offered me a unicorn or a dragon, babe, i'm taking the dragon and it might be over for a minute, but we are flying away together."

i posted
my man would never leave me for any amount of money, but if someone offers him a mythical creature, i'm screwed..

i deactivated my account months ago and no longer use it. it got way too creepy. ideally i'd have only a handful or two of people on there, but there are so many who can see that i've not friended them, or defriended them, and would get their feelings hurt, and i really don't want them to see what i'm into, so i just removed my account.

also, facebook is so clique-y and can get really dramatic really fast. i'm over it.

I often go months without logging on to FB. I may go through periods where I am there every day for a few days. I mention some things, but I don't outline my schedule, nor do I complain about everyday things in my life.

Like mostly every body, I have friends who post their entire schedule for the day; "eat breakfast, mmmm waffles, then going to the gym, then to the grocery store and the pharmacy where I pick up my mood stabilizers, then to back home to change my sanitary napkin (as everyone knows her menstrual cycle as well as their own) then....." on and on. There is such a thing as being so self absorbed you think everyone of your 500 friends on Face Book want to hear about you... changing your sanitary napkin!

I also have friends who talk about other people and event in their lives as if we pay attention to their details with undying devotion and have nothing going on in our own lives nearly as interesting as their workaday lives. "Went with Lena to the CCPPA to see about that thing I was talking about last month. Not great news. But, Gary seems to think we can pull it off anyway." Who the frick is Lena, or Gary, or what the frick is the CCPPA? I don't know, nor do I know about something you alluded to weeks or more ago. I just don't pay that much attention to posts like this. Yet some people use Facebook like a personal diary.

Some details make you human like. Too many details just look self absorbed. There are so many people on FB that I can't keep track of every body's intimate details about the minutia of their life. Yes, it's nice to share, but there is a line between sharing and dumping.

I play my cards close to my chest on Facebook. I am much more open on Eden.

I make a status probably once or twice a week. It's never anything mundane.

I typically post randomly. I try never to whine or complain in my status updates though. Ugh. No one wants to read that.
Honestly, I'm usually posting pics of the kiddo or things that strike me as funny. I know I post too many pics of my son... My excuse is that it's the only way my in-laws get to see him. It's a great excuse! I really do try to mix it up though so it's not all about him.
