If you had to leave your current home, would you...

The second option sounds good. I mean, your family should still be able to support you from a distance if they need to. I know mine did.

Probably move to the closest place that is convenient. Wouldn't want to go too far away if I had money trouble.

If you're guaranteed a job, and were decently happy in your hometown, that's my vote, unless the move would be exceedingly difficult

Probably move to a place in the same town or at least area, since I love it here

Gotta take the safe option. If there's a sure job, it's not a bad idea.

Family support would sway me in that direction.

I'd move to a place I'm likely to get a job.

Well, I'm still living in the frustration of limbo. The bank just can't seem to decide what they want to do with our current mortgage and are still stringing us along. At this point it doesn't look like we'll know whether we need to move until at least this time next month, and possibly as far out now as May. Gah!

At any rate, if we need to move the options are pretty much the same. Thanks again for all the input! It's helped with a lot of the potential decision making.

I'd love to spend some time as an expat if it wasn't so damn difficult to immigrate!

Go wherever it's easiest to do the thing you love the most. Otherwise your down time will be spent wishing you could do the thing you love the most.

Keep moving and never stop.

That's the goal. I think it's boring to try to "buy a house and settle." I want to go everywhere and explore lots of things. It seems like it'll be hard to keep a career this way, or be in long term relationships but then again I'm against forming emotional ties anyway
