On a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the least stressful & 5 being the mist stressful, how stressful is your overall life?
Overall, How Stressful Is Your Life?

Looking forward to my vacation in two weeks to unwind and regroup. I don't usually do countdown to vacation but this time, I am because I really need it. Changes started in my life 1 1/2 years ago, positive changes for me but right now is the time to step back and make decisions on some of those changes. Sorry folks, nothing I really want to discuss in an open forum.

It was a steady 5 for about a month because I was dealing with life stuff but everything got worked out and I can mostly relax again. So I'd say a 2-2.5 right now
04/20/2013
Far less stressful than it used to be.

Stress is ever present - although it changes, I don't see it going away. Luckily my stress is mostly about money issues - not relationship issues. That means I always have my wife on my side and willing to help keep things under control - I would not want to be alone.

The question regarding assessing one's own stress level is problematic. You really cannot compare what you perceive as stress, and relate it to someone else’s perception. For example, a person who lives in a homeless shelter is going to perceive stress differently than a person who lives in a mansion.

Not very stressful. I'm fortunate that way.

I have a typical amount of stress for someone in my position. I'm a full time student with a job, internship, and a pile of debt from school. In two weeks I graduate so a lot of the stress will disappear...except for the debt.
04/20/2013
I have a fair amount of stress in my life at this point in time but I deal with it pretty well.
04/20/2013
I'd say a 2. The only real stress I have comes from money troubles. I only work part time and am having trouble finding a better job. This is the least busy/stressed I've ever been and it's kind of weird.

3 out of 5, but there are moments it's more and moments it's less. I would say 3 is pretty average though.
04/20/2013
I would say three.

between work and the kids, I get some stress in my life. But I deal with it pretty well.

I didn't ask anyone to relate their stress to someone else's. And since I'm not running a study about stress, I'm not sure what's problematic in with asking people on a social forum what they think. Who better to ask in assessing their stress level? One's perception of stress is all that really matters here, it has value in itself.

Sooo much stress. I try so hard to keep calm, but it's very difficult.

Much of my stress comes from school, and while its not "bad stress," some days i can get really worked up and anxious. More now since it' s the end of the semester and i have a few papers and projects done.
More of my anxiety comes from job hunting. I feel this is mostly because i have little work experience and it makes finding a job that isnt child care very hard for me.
My stress overall is moderate. things are hard somedays but i tend to deal fairly well.

It's not as bad as it could be, but right now I am slightly stressed but for once in my life it's not about money!
04/20/2013
I don't really have any stress in my life.
04/20/2013
I'm stressed as I try to master my new fuller schedule.

I have so much stress going on in my life..

It definitely varies depending on what is going on, but for the most part, it's moderate. Sometimes even less.

My stress level is very manageable, mostly stressed about managing the kids and their school work.
04/21/2013
Just moderate.

Right now I am dealing with work, overtime, pay bills, my husband had his toe amputated 5 weeks ago, I have to run IV antibiotics on him twice a day and shit yeah I am a bit over stressed!! Not to mention all the hospital bills that the insurance doesn't pay
04/21/2013
Right now--highly stressful. Moving my business and other things have me going crazy!!!!
04/21/2013
Inconsistent stress depends what is going on at the time.

You are correct when you say you did not ask anyone to relate their stress with someone else's. But, since you are trying to invoke a large number of responses, I think you should welcome everything and anything to the proverbial table, without limitations. That said, I really appreciate your responding to my post. I also wish to say that I think you did a thoughtful job with how you approached your poll.

Thanks for the compliment! I try, but I'm new to this, so thinking of the best titles & how to list responses to choose from, is difficult - thank goodness of 'other'! It may take me a while, but I do try to keep up with all the discussions I start!

Did I forget to include something? I put 'other', but couldn't think of what else to add. I'm confused about what responses I didn't welcome. It won't let me go back & edit any of the choices, but I can post a comment about whatever I overlooked.
