It is always interesting to read about other peoples pet peeves. Those tiny little things that can annoy one to distraction! Also--reading about someone else's peeves helps us to realize we are not going crazy, but having them is completely normal and healthy!

2) People who are always involving themselves in other people business

1. Assumptions! Anyone who makes assumptions and thinks of them as facts...
2. Open gas cap doors on cars while they are driving down the road.

1) People with disrespectful unrestricted children
2) People who are either too scared to drive or too cocky to drive both cause accidents
3) People who tell me either they can do my job or people who tell me how easy my job is. Both seem to somehow give me MORE work

Only three? Hell's bells, THAT is a pet peeve, lol! How the hell am I gonna restrict myself to just three? OK... I will include everything others have already mentioned, because, other than IT Guy's last one (which doesn't apply to me), I agree with them all. What can I say? I'm prickly! And I will never get tired of sharing my kvetching either! Bring on the complaint lists! LOL! (OK, I admit, js250's #2, is not a real peeve of mine, I just roll my eyes.)

This is gonna require some more thought if I am to narrow my selections! I have to say though that IT Guy's number 1, is one of my BIGGEST ever! But as I said, I have to spend time on this and I am incapable right now due to pain and medication, so I am going to post again later when I can think straight. I have a temporary list for now that may change upon further reflection (or not, who knows?)

1. Cruelty - this covers a LOT of stuff! To people, animals, etc. Mean spiritedness included.
2. Stubborn, willful ignorance - another one that covers a ton of stuff
3. True arrogance - you know, for example, the person who thinks they know better than you and therefore can take away your choices? (That's just one example.)

I have many pet peeves, but I'll try to keep this short and simple.

-Liars
-People who need/start drama
-Ignorant people
-Rudeness
-People who are lazy (as in not working laying around all day or shirking their actual responsibilities)
-People that have animals and then don't take care of them. Also people who are mean to animals.
-People who gossip.
-People who judge

I find it so interesting that I have yet to disagree with any that people have listed (except for the gas cap one from js250, lol; that's just not something that really upsets me, but I can see why it bothers her. And the job reference by IT Guy doesn't apply to me. )

Picking on my gas cap....see how you are! I do not know why--but that irritates me to no end! Could you imagine the look on people's faces if I jumped out of my truck at the stoplights and started closing them, LMAO!! (I have...hehehehe)

I never owned a Pet Peeve. I wanted to, but when I went to the pet store, they didn't have any. Also, in the pet food isle, I would see Purina Dog Chow, Purina Cat Chow, even Purina Ferret Chow. Never, not ever, do I see Purina Peeve Chow. What would you feed the poor thing? I also worry, as I hear that there is some illegal Peeve fighting going on, and if my Peeve were ever out, would someone think I was into that horrible activity? Can you take your Peeve to the park? Do Peeves cuddle with you at night? How much do cities charge for Peeve tags? Are there Peeve breeders or can I get a homeless Peeve at the pound?

I have so many questions about those who have Pet Peeves. It frustrates me that they never cover this one pet on Animal Planet even. Maybe I should film a show...."Peeves 101"? Maybe "When good Peeves go bad"???

Okay, here is the odd part. I didn't post a link! I have no clue how it appeared in my posting above. No clue what this non working link was supposed to link to...or how it got there!!!

However, they apparently did sell "Pet peeves". Looks a lot like the relative of the 1970's "pet rock".

I should have known someone would have created pet peeves! Thanks for the link

As for the mysterious link, it appears you typed something like, "Awwwgives me fuzzies..." and as soon as the system saw "www", it read it as the beginning of a web address, so it took "gives" as part of the addy because it was connected without a space before it...make sense? A little? That's my best guess.

Mine would be waiting on someone else to get ready ( it takes me minutes to get around, I don't wear make up and my outfits are simple) when my husband gets leftovers and leaves crumbs or food spots on the counter. And people who think they know everything

Hmmm

1. I'm not a slow driver or a really fast driver--just average (try to go a little over the speed limit if I think I can get away with it without getting a ticket) but it annoys me when I'm in a lot of traffic and I see a car bolting from one lane to another over and over and over and over and over...in front of and in between other people--like they are on a personal racetrack. And they aren't really making any progress.
2. When you are talking to someone and they look away or even turn away in the middle
3. When you are almost at your climax, and your vibrator or bullet dies

Nope. That's actually a huge let down instead of a pet peeve.

This includes children who are not taught to be respectful, male chauvinists, transphobic jerks, elitist jerks, people who think one is not a woman unless she is a mother, people who look down on others because they choose to have kids, militant vegans, and so many other people who just don't respect other people's life choices and styles.
