Would you purchase an appliance online?

I know many people research online & then look locally for what they want. But, I am interested if you'd purchase an appliance, (or any other large, heavy, item, like a riding lawn mower), online and have it delivered to you, or arrange for pickup at a local location.

I would, but only if my friend or family member had the same model, and I knew I could return it locally. For instance, I would totally order the washer & dryer set my mother has, it's awesome. But I'd want to be able to take it back to Sears or something if it happened to no work right.

I would purchase anything online provided it had free shipping and delivery and a good return policy. The only reason I would buy an appliance online instead of in a store, though, would be because I was getting a good deal on it.

It would depend on a lot of things. My parents are in the process of building their dreamhome and they much prefer to buy things at showrooms where they can compare with a ton of models. Of course going online is great because you can see honest reviews aside from the opinion of the salesperson.

We just recently purchased a water bubbler for the kitchen and an air conditioner without an issue.

I don't know if I'd buy something that big, but I bought an electric kettle online a few months ago because the one I wanted wasn't available in the local store.

Heck, yes I would. There are some great deals online. Some of the stuff comes right from a store in your town. So I could always go bring it back there. I know one place that has some good deals on appliances is H.H. Gregg. I actually got my laptop from them as well but I went in store and it was a little less then what they had it online for.

I have bought my oven in the past (and will in the future as well) online. It is just so much cheaper to buy online!!!

I've bought my computer, iPad online. And will buy my telephone online when my current one breaks down.

If I can buy it online, I will prefer to buy it online, simply because if it is a name I trust- the price is usually MUCH cheaper and the return policy is usually better than at the store.

If I bought it through a store that has local service, yes.

I bought a mini dish washer online and had a great experience. Anything bigger than that...probably not!

Sometimes, if it's from a reputable online place. I do try to shop locally, it also makes repair easier

I think I would try it if the products were worth the money it would cost for shipping or delivery. Still, I prefer to see my large buys in person.

Yes, I've done it before. It is so much cheaper than buying from the shop. If I want to see how the item looks in real life I go to the shop to have a look at it ... and than order it from online retailer.

I would probably research it but buying online, something that big would be expensive for shipping alone. Unless they had a flat rate at which they shipped that would really add up.
