I keep some in front of the back seat of my car and a couple on the seat of my "errand" bicycle. I'll go back to the car and retrieve them if I get to the carts and I don't have them.

When i go on my own, there are very few instances i will leave the house without them. Ive never forgotten them in the car, but if i did i would for sure go back and get them, other wise carrying all those groceries becomes too much a chore since i can carry 4-5 bags on each arm at once from my car to the house, unlike pastic bags where i can only carry maybe 3 at a time.

I forget so often! Then I always have a hard time convincing the cashier that I would rather pay 5 cents each for twice as many bags than have them all fall apart because they were packed too heavy!

Never! I prefer new and uncontaminated plastic grocery bags from the stores. If there comes a day when all the stores are not allowed to supply plastic grocery bags, I'll buy my own at Costco and use those instead. I always recycle those used plastic bags as garbage bags afterwards, so I still consider myself green.

I generally do, unless I'm making an unplanned visit to the shops. I don't drive, so I actually have to actively plan a shopping trip, and that includes bringing the bags.
Though I also have one of those little personal shopping cart thingies, so I mostly use that one instead of the bags when I do.

I'll pay the .10 for the paper bag, make sure they fill it to the top and then use the paper bag for fire starter at home. I refuse to haul bags back and forth. Then I will go home and drink a 32 oz soda, put extra salt on my chips, take an extra long shower and flush my toilet twice.
