Should Marijuana Be Legalized?

Legalize !!

Lol. I really am not opposed to it. I actually think it could be good for the economy if it's sold and controlled like tobacco and alcohol. I am not a smoker, but back when I was a bit younger I did indulge very often! Lol. I wouldn't buy it if it were legal because I just don't like the feeling anymore and I'm sure the kids would be wondering why I'm sitting in front of the TV with a bag of gummy bears and my mouth hung wide open, eyes barely opened! Lol. Memories...

Anyways, I don't see anything wrong with it as long as it's not getting in the wrong hands like kids or used while driving. I know it isn't the same as being drunk, but I don't go for driving high or under any influence. Even if some are able to control the wheel, you never know and it is too risky to put children's and others lives in danger. So in my opinion, as long as it is controlled I haven't thought of anything too bad that could come of it.

I am content with it staying illegal. Though if there were means of realistically legalizing it and governing it, I'd be open to that as well.

I go for medicinal purposes only. It numbs the brain and causes memory loss, especially bad for teenagers.

Yes! I would be so happy, I personally love MJ! It helps me with mood swings, pains, and whatever else. Sometimes I need to just chill out and Mj helps me do that! Where I live though even though it is illegal it is just $100 ticket! A certain amount anyhow, whatever the max amount is I know I can not afford to have it so no need to worry!

Legalize it already!

I think it should at the very least be decriminalized. It has many redeeming qualities that (as everyone before me has pointed out) are lacking from tobacco and alcohol. I have a friend who lives in a state where it isn't decriminalized who is going through very aggressive chemotherapy right now, and the only way she can eat or lessen her pain is to smoke. Her doctors prescribed her Marinol, but she says it's not as effective. So if the doctors can prescribe synthetic THC saying that it will help, what's so wrong with the real, more effective, thing?

Marijuana is decriminalized in the state I live in, and everyone's totally okay with that. It's not a problem, cops aren't (for the most part) spending their time and resources busting kids smoking and pot dealers, it's all just no big deal. Someone I know was caught outside OUTSIDE smoking a bowl, and a cop walked up to him and said, "Son, can I see what's in your hand?" He gave it to the cop, who looked at it, dumped it out, and said, "You have to take that someplace else." Done and over with, keep calm and carry on. However, I have a friend who got boned by the police just because the cop was a young guy who had something to prove, in the same state. It got blown way out of proportion. So even with it being decriminalized, it all depends on who you end up encountering.

I do agree with what someone said before, I don't think it will ever be legalized. At least not until us young-uns are the ones running the country. Because we're the ones with the sensible views on it.

In my opinion? No. I believe it retards mental growth in developing brains and if it being illegal stops even one or two children from 'experimenting' than it's worth it.

Yes! Weed is a weed, it grows everywhere without control, it's a natural plant that should be allowed to be smoked and consumed and you can make paper out of it. Hemp is on the earth for a reason.

I think it should be legalized for any reason (medical or recreational.) I would even go a step further and say that anyone should be allowed to grow it in their own home/yard.
