To paint or not to paint...that is the question.

We paint it ourselves with a spray gun.

I would do it. I'm sure it would take awhile. But save some money in labor.

It would drive me nuts if I have to do it with my husband, but alone, wouldn't be so bad. I can't do any task that redoes anything with my husband. He is so anal about everything. It drives me insane.

I could paint my whole house by myself no problem.

Generally, I couldn't bring myself to pay someone else to paint.

I hate painting of any type!

I probably wouldn't hire someone to paint the inside, but I'd hate it the entire time that's for sure. I would absolutely hire someone to paint the exterior, like a small local business. My aunts just hired someone to paint their house, and it ended up being relatively stress-free and came out really beautiful!

I would try but something tells me I would give up and hire someone fast.

Yea, I'm far too cheap to pay someone to do something I'm capable of.

Painting seems to be one of those "love it or hate it" activities around the house.

The calculation I have always heard is, "what is your time worth"? In other words, if you can hire a professional painter for three hours, for the same money you make in three hours, isn't it worth doing three hours extra work at what you are good at, and let the pro do the painting (in short, unless you really enjoy it, is it worth your own time to do it)?

We bought on of those paint machines. I tell you it has saved me. I love to paint/ cutting in was no problem I didnt have to tape off. thenI had my stupid thing happen. Any how then my hubby had to paint and he hates it. This thing saves paint, it goes quicker. It cost us about 100$ but itwas the best thing ever. It has saved us money on paint over the years and time.

I would hire someone else if I was painting my entire house. I can handle a room or two though.

I have always hired it out, but last year my fiance and I painted our living room and hallway together, and I actually enjoyed it. She was a good teacher, kept me on track, and it turned out as well as any job I ever hired out. It took longer than if we would have hired it out, but I'll definitely do it again whenever our house needs it.
