there was a discussion earlier about wedding rings as a symbol, but what of alternatives? what would you give as an alternative? what would you want?

Perceptive forum discussions on Cock rings:

What does a cock ring feel like?
Title says it all

Bringing toys into the bedroom
When you first start seeing someone do you feel comfortable telling them that you enjoy being toys into the bedroom, or do you wait a little while?

Favorite toy(men)
Men, what is the one toy you enjoy the most?

Cock rings?
should I try the free one first or start with something a little nicer? I really think he would like a ball strapp too

HOW DO THESE FAIR?
How are these? Never tried one before, is there one better?

As far as actual wedding rings, my guy said he would wear one if I really wanted him to, but he doesn't like wearing jewelry of any kind so I did not make him. He actually doesn't have anything as a symbol, but I do.

I think for alternatives for those who DO wear something, I'd say maybe wear a ring as a necklace my best friend does that!

Ring-tattoos. All the rage among alternative bridal couples.

Or just don't bother at all. Plenty of 'marriage is a trap' people who commit to each other drop the ring issue altogether because they can't get their heads past the obsolete symbolism part.

Myself, I like rings just because I'm a romantic.

A collar, as is well and proper. A nice choker can work well in that department without being obvious. Or a necklace or bracelet. I got my lover a necklace to match my favorite ring, as a symbolic collar and leash, but that's only because we're kinky. It's actually sad that I'm cool with a collar, but I can't stand the thought of a wedding ring. (The difference to me is that I give myself willingly with the collar, the wedding ring is a symbol of being bought.)

I read an erotica story where a gay couple got matching body piercing style earrings - One wore his in his ear, and the other on a nipple.

A professor at a college I went to had custom watch bands created because they didn't like wearing rings.

Sigel doesn't wear a ring because his hands swell and his arthritis makes it painful at times. I wear a three diamond ring symbolizing past, present and future instead of a wedding set. Seems to fit our relationship better and it's a beautiful ring

My Grandfather's family had that custom....it's a common 7th Day Adventist custom so I understand.
