What do you find more manly?

Contributor: Gone (LD29) Gone (LD29)
For reasons that remain unknown, my husband has asked me to get a community opinion on which of these options you find more manly. All other things being equal, do you find a naturally hairy chest more manly or a hairless oiled up chest?

On a side note, I had to figure out what subforum to post this in. To which he responds "there's not a forum for stupid stuff your husband says?" Yeah...

I'm not a big fan of a super duper hairy chest but I like some hair. Absolutely prefer hair over shaved or hairless.

Naturally hairy chest? It'll play. Trimmed, naturally hairy chest? Bingo!

I don't like my guys looking like gorillas, but hairless is too... boyish. I like a medium amount of hair.

I mean natural untamed body hair is often seen as masculine over a hairless, shaved or waxed, chest. I personally prefer whatever is "natural" for that person.

I don't find a hairless, oiled chest to be manly, just unfortunate.

But I don't think a chest needs to be hairy to be masculine! Masculine for me is in the build, the differences between male & female. And they don't need to be big & buff to look masculine, either.

My personal preference is for the less hirsute. I like that for the same reasons I like the hair removed from my legs, it feels better to have access to all that lovely skin! But some hair is tactilely stimulating as well. A dense pelt is not as naturally appealing to me, but I would never outright exclude someone because of just that. It just would take some getting used to.

I don't think it's a difference in manliness. I think it's a difference in personal preferences but I prefer less hair.

I love my partners hairy chest...although he does man-scape to make it more attractive.

I don't think either way is more manly, but I think what's sexy is when a guy rocks whatever look he's got.

I don't like hairy chests. My husband has a few hairs around his nipples but that's it.

How about the common middle ground? I don't want Chewbacca but a little hair is pretty sexy. Oiled up six packs aren't bad either when it comes to eye candy but I don't think I could be with someone like that long term.

Llamas are manly unless they are the female variety! I prefer natural hair on my men.

I honestly don't care, it depends on the guy. Some guys look terrible with chest hair, some look good.

Other. Maybe some hair, but not thick. If he's hairless, I'm fine without the oiled up look.

It depends on the guy... Normally, I prefer a shaved chest... I've only thought a hairy chest was sexy on 1 person.

I like whatever's natural. Give the choice, I'd take less hair over more (and hopefully no hairy shoulders or back, because that's less attractive for me), but oil is totally unnecessary.

I prefer it sort of a mix of both, I like a little hair on the chest.
But too much hair and it's a slight turn off for me.
I think if my guy had a naturally very hairy chest, I'd politely ask if he wouldn't mind trimming some of it off.

Just enough hair to show that he has some but not bare and for sure not oily.

I don't care of chest hair, but oiled-up chest sounds even worse.

Neither is more manly to me. Furry bears are not attractive to me though.
