What is your favorite tanning style?

Contributor: MistressDandelion MistressDandelion
My favorite tanning style is to lay away from the sun as much as possible to stay as pale and pearlescent as can be.

Your point is well taken. I put 'Other' for either none of the above or perhaps to explain other options. What I was looking for was the increasing popularity of spray-on-tanning. I was wondering if the contributors here at EF experienced that style of tanning and if it was harmless or not.

I don't tan. When I'm out I get darker. My skin is dark overall. So I don't have to put on sunscreen too.

I do the stand-up tanning beds a couple times a year. In the winter it helps my skin. I love laying in the sun but when I can afford a spray tan as a treat I prefer that. It's the safer way to get color.

I don't tan, but I recently went on vacation and found that I have a bit more color thanks to sightseeing in the sun!

I don't really tan. When Im out in the sun I just burn or I take forever to tan. But if I need a tan I'll do spray tan or bronzers. I have no desire to use tanning beds.

I don't intentionally tan. I just get whatever sun I get from going about my daily activities. And I don't typically wear sunblock unless I'm planning to be outside for an extended period of time.

I have to use sunblock if I know I'm going to be in the sun, but I like when I get a little tan when I don't use it. I tend to spray a small bit of instant/lasting tanner on my face to even out my skin tones.

i apply a lot of sunblock for protection and i lay in sun. some people say putting sunblock doesn't make you tan but it is just protection and you tan with it cause I'm dark and before i was white as milk

I actually don't try to tan, but when I do manage to get one, it's from being in the sun. I don't use fake-bake products and such.

I don't tan. I can't tan. I burn, blister, and wait in agonizing pain to go back to a pink shade of porcelain. I'm ok with that. No tanning for me!

I generally don't tan, just wear lots of sunblock to keep my healthy Skin! every now and then I feel like a need a bit of color, and I will use the Jergens Gradual Tan lotion, which gives a little bit of something-something in the middle of summer.

I hate being in the sun in the first place, so I avoid it at all costs & always wear sunscreen.

I tried some self-tanning products & found that, just as with sun exposure, any color I got, turned an unflattering yellow tinge as if faded, looking like a fading bruise.

The only time I will use a self-tan product, is to balance the color on my lower legs & feet once they become exposed in Summer & I was trying to disguise the visible veins!

I love very pale skin, so I don't want a tan. I tried the self-tanner to see what it looked like on me & if it was as slimming looking as they all say! I just don't like the look & if I think I need color, I will use make-up.

I don't tan at all. I burn, or get these little red pin prick type spots. I always wear sunblock and try to stay in the shade.
