What kind of ex are you?

Contributor: GONE! GONE!
I can be pretty evil but I usually try to remain friends or at least stay on good terms.

I'm the EX who acts like she never knew you at all! I "go ghost" and later when they try that lame attempt at just being "friends," I'm like X who? Do I know you? Ha Ha! Kidding, I can't act like I don't know someone I dated because then it'd just seem like I went truly crazy and forgot, but I will act like I never knew them.

I try to avoid contact wherever possible and be polite and civil when we do have to interact. Long term relationships tend to end up with mutual friends, and sometimes running into each other overlaps.

If I break up with someone, I'm gone for good. I don't try to talk to them or remain friends and I don't involve myself in their life.

I like to try and stay friends but mostly they can't handle it and I end up never hearing from them again.

It really depends on the situation. For one ex, I went through a long cooling-off period but still couldn't really be friends with him until I was dating someone else. With one ex, I stayed in love with him until we got back together. With another, I told him I didn't want to be part of his life, he guilted me into staying friends, and then dropped me. And with another semi-ex, we're good friends. I don't think that one counts though, since it was never more than a friends-with-benefits situation.

It depends on how it ended. I am friends with most of my exes.

This definitely depends on how everything was during and after the relationship. If it was just one of those jerky kinds of people that had no morals or values, then I can't see being friends with them in the long run. The only person that I am really friends with is my ex husband and that is only because we share two children. Otherwise, I honestly probably wouldn't be in communications with him either. We only really talk when it concerns the kids, but at least we're on good terms!
