one time me and my ex were going at it when i was still a teenager and we thought everyone was gone but right in the middle my mom knocked on the door and then said what the hell you doing in there jumping on the bed? we both about died.

We got interrupted by the police knocking on the door once. (Long story, they basically had the wrong address.) We saw the police car and freaked out- we both went to the door in stages of undress. It was pretty obvious what we'd been doing. That was awkward.

I don't answer the door with much enthusiasm on a good day (social anxiety) so there's no way I'm going to try and throw on cloths and run to the door during sexytimes. If I knew that someone was coming over, I wouldn't have been having sexytimes in the first place!

Considering I don't answer the door when I am sitting on the sofa downstairs, I certainly wouldn't interrupt something much more important. Anyone I want to see I know is coming over and anyone else is selling something (mostly religion or politics) and I am not buying.
If the UPS man came to the door, I might answer the door, but he just leaves the boxes at the garage and doesn't knock.

I don't answer the door anyway unless my husband is home. Always been that way even when I lived with my parents. I'm afraid of being kidnapped or killed. lol.

I have roommates, so it's not that uncommon for there to be a knock on the door.
If there was a chance they didn't realize we were sexing (i.e we were quiet enough that they could think we were napping) I'd ignore it unless the knocked again. If it was obvious we were awake and/or it sounded like something was up, I'd pause and ask what was going on. If it was important I'd throw on clothes, and see what was up.

It's happened before! It's usually a family member at my house so I couldn't ignore them. Also, my fam knows how to get in the back door even when locked! Yikes! We've also had knocks at the bedroom door while doing it. Lol. I'm telling you, my heart stopped! I just snatch a cover and try to keep my bug eyes from bulging out of my head and have him go to the door, blocking the way. It's usually a kid or family member who silently crept inside! I usually have a pair of shorts close by to throw on quickly, but I hate when people do that!

We have a gate so people can't knock on our door but they do yell hello. We look out the window if they are not important we ignore them
