How many of you research a product before you purchase it?

Usually I buy by the looks but decide NOT to buy by the reviews

If the toy looks good to me and gets favorable reviews I'll probably end up getting it.

I am attracted by the look of the product but I try to look at the reviews as much as possible before I buy the product.

I try to buy items that's got at least a 3 star review and higher, though I have bought that's lower or no reviews.

As a beginner at all of this, I feel like I go by a couple things. To me, it should look attractive to be and definitely be highly-rated, and it should be priced appropriately. I don't necessarily mean cheaply, but I think the price should be fair for the quality.

It's a mixture between looks and reviews.

I used to go by the looks and ended up with the Lelo Gigi and Je joue fifi neither of which it my anatomy at all. Either did FFs delight. READ THE REVIEWS!!!! They will save you a ton of $ and disappointment

I buy in most of those ways depending on my mood. Different moods can lead to very different shopping "trips".

reviews are most important to me. not just if it is getting 4 or 5 stars, but how many people have reviewed it as well.

I usually research extensively before I make my decision, I don't want anything in my collection that I'm not going to use ;D

I never buy anything without extensively researching it first. Pictures, size comparisons, material safety, manufacturer's reputation, reviews and impressions, it's all important to me when considering a toy.

I place more weight on higher ranked contributors but if there is only one review, it's by someone not ranked very high but it's detailed and convinces me, yeah. I won't buy based on a really non-descriptive review but I also won't necessarily not purchase it.

I research 95% of everything I buy, sex toys and otherwise. That said, I do have particular tastes and preferences which guide me. The best review in the world won't convince me to try something that doesn't meet my safety parameters, for instance. I am often attracted to some products by looks alone. Then, I read the reviews. If the general consensus is that something sucks, I'll move on. If reviews are mediocre, looks might sway me a bit more.

I'll usually try and read a few reviews first, If reviews aren't up yet but I'm confident of the brand and that it suits my tastes then I'll -sometimes- risk it.

If it's a type I know what I want I will look for real specific reviews from people who seem anatomically similar (I have a tricky g spot but when you find it OMG) but if it's an area or toy I am less familiar with I go on the advice of people who I think know that particular area of interest. Say for example if I was looking at bondage gear, there are certain people who's opinions I value more because that's more their things.

As far as price I'm a sale hound. I'll wait and wait and grab it at the best time. I have to get the most bang for my buck. We don't have a huge toy budget but like to place at least one order a month. Thank goodness for eden and their promo's. It has to look nice and function well with decent overall reviews though. I wont buy something just to buy it, no matter how inexpensive it is.

I'm very meticulous about my buying decisions.

First, I have a function in mind, and then I narrow it down to my price range. After that, I carefully weigh the reviews against each other.

I recently bought a butterfly kiss. It was difficult to decide because there are like 6 versions!

Usually looks and reviews from higher ranked reviewers. If im really interested in something I read a lot of reviews no matter who wrote them.

This is very similar to my purchasing process.

I start with a need, look at as many products that might meet the need, and narrow it down to a short list based on reviews/ratings and looks. I often read ALL the reviews of a bunch of products over the course of weeks. Sometimes I narrow it down to just one product.

With a short list, it usually comes down to which is in stock or goes on sale first; other times I'll wait months until I save up enough points/dollars to get exactly the product I want.

I always read a bunch of reviews before I make my purchase. That's the good thing about the EdenFantasys site; there's usually a good amount of detailed reviews for everything they sell.
