If you are offended by all the sexual content on tv either shut your cable off or block those channels you are offended by. The country is so screwed up when it comes to human sexuality.

I have no problem with sex on tv!! I have kids and am not offended in any way by them seeing (no explicit) TV sex scenes. Sex is natural.... not dirty, bad, or wrong!!

That said, I do have a problem with all of the violence!!

Hmmmmm, would I rather my kids see sex or people being blown up and shot at..... easy answer there!

I don't understand why so many people get mad about sex on tv when the violence is far more traumatizing to kids imo.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no prude...however, I do think there is too much sex on tv. It's almost expected, which really takes away from the show.

There isn't enough :p
I'm not saying that it should be on cartoon network, but sexuality has a bad name nowadays.

I think certain shows that begin plot-oriented and suddenly devolve into fuckfests that I'd be embarrassed to watch with family (say, True Blood) have too much sex. Gah. That frustrates the hell out of me. Most of the frustration stems from complete disregard for a nice, meaty plot than for the sex itself, though. There are just some shows that I think rely on sex far too much and plot far too little.

Not a problem. If I thought it was I'd change the channel or turn off the tv

I don't think there's much of a problem with quantity (I think it's nice if media moves away from treating sex as a taboo and accepts it as a natural thing!), but there's a problem with HOW the sex is portrayed.

Too much. Our children watch tv and it is in everything. I am no prude but I like a little mystery. I am more into comedy on tv anyways .

I don't have a problem with how much, but with the way it's portrayed. Misogyny and sexual violence recieve much less censorship than consensual, positive portrayals of sex. It's feeding into a dangerous sexist culture.

Maybe it's because I'm not a parent, but I don't think it's a problem. If it is a question of kids being exposed to it, I think parents should just not raise their kids on TV. If it offends you personally, just don't watch it. I would be more concerned about violence than sex on TV, anyway. If it's a question of how it affects us all socially, I still think the emphasis should be on personal choice. Don't like it, don't watch it.

Way to much sex on TV by our standards - 25 years ago! We were behind the times then.

I don't know of any tv show that even has that much sex aside from maybe stuff like Gossip Girl but it's not even graphic. Everything on tv is so implied! I do think Weeds is pretty graphic, but that's meant for an older audience, and it is from Showtime so that's expected.

american tv is pretty tame compared to some countries. that's why i watch hulu...so i can see the raunchy UK shows, lol

if you don't like it , change the channel.

if i had kids i would monitor what they watch to be sure it's age appropriate

I think sex is really closed off visually for us but it is heavily implied EVERYWHERE. Might as well be having it.
