After years of marriage, we finish each others sentences. Anyone have anything else that "only the two of you" do that shows how "in sync" you are now??

The funniest thing I have seen was when we went on vacation with another couple...great friends, and split up in the mall. The girls went one way, we guys went another.

When we got back together, we showed the woman that we had been thinking of them, and picked out a few things...vacation reminders, we had found to buy them...a Jacket with a logo from that beach, a "straw" sun hat, and a couple other things.

The insane part was when we looked in their baskets, they had picked up the EXACT same items to buy themselves. THE EXACT same. That is when you know you are "thinking alike". We have been married 31, they have been wed 29.

Any of you have similar stories of "thinking on the same wavelength"???

Please share.

LOL Yes after 25 years I "get" his jokes and we do finish each others sentences. We are still learning surprising things about each other. It's an incredible journey that get's better and better.

This happens with my girlfriend and me. We've been together just over 3 1/2 years. I'm sure we'll get there too!

Have been married 42 years and we use to finish each others sentences. Now we just look at each other, smile, and nod our heads in agreement!

We've been married 32 years and we're like this - we do it a lot. We have a lot of "our" jokes too...like every once in a while he might go "one million and one, one million and two" etc. etc. and the answer is "Togetherness Counts More and More as time goes on". He started it with "one two three" years ago and then "ten eleven twelve" a few weeks later, etc.

Right now our running joke is "Ummm...Nutmeg" after seeing a lot of KY Jelly ads for that product on hulu (the stuff that is for women...intense or something).

My husband is my absolute best friend....and we do share a lot.

We've only been married 9 months at this point, but we've always had a connection like that, even before we started dating again. I remember going with him to pick up a car lift from a buddy's house and I was just staring out the window while he was driving and I heard his phone ring and just reached out to grab his drink because there were no cup holders. He can understand my nonsensical rambling and I can understand his.

We're amazingly in sync, and I couldn't be happier about it.

We banter. To anyone outside of our dynamic, it probably seems like a fight, but to us, it's one long running joke. And we cue off each other. We know each other well enough to know where the other is going when we're working on a story or a skit.

We're not even married, and we do that often. We'll be carrying on with a joke that should have ended long ago, and we'll end up saying the exact same thing. It's wonderful.

20 years later, we don't even have to speak most of the time. I can look at him and know what he is thinking, what he wants to drink etc. It's crazy but cool.

We finish each other's sentences or we'll say the exact same thing at the exact same time. We're just really in tune with each other and have been for a long time now. It always makes me feel really good inside when we're on the same page. I think all of those years I fed him dinner while he was driving helped quite a bit. That takes some teamwork!

For us it has been 43 years and 3 children raised and out of the house. We not only agree on most things now, we don't even have to discuss them to agree. We do have some disagreements now and then when we believe that we have told the other something that wasn't passed on. We know that we did, but sure as the world, we didn't (except psychicly). Every once in a while we surprise each other and do something differently, and it is kind of pleasant.
We are also at the point now that we are developing seperate lives again as well as deeper couple lives. It is really neat because we know ieach other so well, that doing something on your own is nice also.

He knows what I'm doing even just over the phone, it's amazing! I also wanted to surprise him with a gift (a carrying case for his laptop) but he knew what I was up to and just came out and told me he already has something he can use for that. It's really nice to have someone know you that well, but makes it more difficult to surprise each other! lol
