How soon after having a baby did you resume sex?

it takes 6 weeks for your body to heal so that is how long I waited after each of my kids

After the birth of my 1st, I waited the 6 weeks before even thinking about it and them it was probably actually a few weeks after that before I felt like it. After the birth of my 2nd baby, it was much much longer because I tore severely (up into the birth canal). I was emotionally ready to feel close to my husband after all of the bullshit we had recently been through, but physically, I was still incapable.

6 weeks is the recommended time or atleast that is what the doctor has said. Don't really think it's going to be an issue, she has zero interest at this loint and we're past 6 weeks post baby #2 now. I'll be the next one in the hospital with carple tunnel and dehydration. Love love love my kids so no animosity there just a real drag on the intimacy side of life.
