Is it ok to have toys shaped like porn stars' sex organs in a long-term relationship?

Contributor: Shumway Shumway
Here's one for you married couples and life partners. I've been seeing a lot of toys on the site molded from porn stars' genitalia. I'm curious what people think about owning or their spouse owning one when in a long term relationship.

Oh, I forgot to mention.. I don't have a problem with it as it's not the real thing.. but if my wife didn't feel comfortable with me owning one after discussing the matter a great deal, I would respect her preference and not get one.

I don't have a problem with it, and if my partner is so bothered by the idea of me having a pornstar penis (or pussy, for that matter) in my toy box, then we're probably going to have a lot of relationship issues.

I would take a very insecure person to be jealous of a chunk of rubber/plastic/silicon e. And if they're that insecure about sex toys, there are most likely some larger issues at work that should probably be addressed.

I'm single at the moment but haven't had a problem in the past. And my Master doesn't have an issue.

I agree with Oxygen99.
I have met a couple of guys who just didn't like any toys. I figured they probably felt that the toys may be able to satisfy more then they could. Wish people didn't think that way though.
The real deal is ALWAYS better - as long as the owner knows how to work it! Hehehe

it's just a toy. but if there is a problem with the SO, then it may be a good way to open up a much needed talk.

For me it has nothing to do with whether they are molded from someone or not. I don't like any realistic toys. They just creep me out. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it if they wanted to have one, but I would prefer for them not to have one.

I don't care for realistic toys either, but I have no problems with owning "porn star" genitalia. I suppose for some it adds to the fantasy, which is just that, a fantasy.

As long as the toy does not have a pulse, the wife could careless.

Ignorance is usually not accepted, I just bought my first toy like 4 months back, it was at another web store, the choices were poor, I don't remember any other Fleshlights at the time, so I picked this one, it is of a porn star, at the time, I really did not know any better, now I know that just about every porn star has a Fleshlight now, I voted that if my S/O had or has a problem, I would have no problem in getting rid of it!!

Both of us are not into toys molded to porn stars' genitals. My b/f has the Fleshlight sleeve with the basic pussy lips, it works for him. My dils are mostly cocks w/o a named originator. Works for me!

I would just like to say, that I am older, that I have been in this way more shy, and was raised more old fashioned, I am in no way a prude, but with the 2 reasons, that I have stated, it has taken me some time to warm up to this idea, I just want to say, maybe it is not a big problem with men or women, so I might not just on the wagon of them having deep problems with insecurities, just my opinion though!!

I don't have a problem with it but if my husband didn't like that idea, I wouldn't have one until he was more comfortable with it. I personally don't own any right now but I would like to try some! I have a fanstasy about seeing him with another woman/man so it wouldn't make sense to not want him to use the ones shaped after porn stars or real people.

I'd rather not insult my wife with even presenting her with the idea.

I wouldn't have a problem with it it is just a piece of silicone, superskin, what ever material it is. If my partner had a problem with it it would probably be a time for a much need talk.

It's not real. It's a toy. If I had a John Holmes or Marco Banderas dil or vibe, (which I don't, mostly because most of them are poor materials) My Man wouldn't care. If he had a tube from a porn star (which he doesn't because he isn't really into masturbator tubes, but I am trying to talk him into it on occasion) it would make no difference to me.

It is a toy. It isn't a big deal.

Exactly, I really don't understand why anyone would be pissed off about a toy.

It's all in the mind set. If you lust after these porn stars, then no it's not okay. If you just look at it for what it is, then it is totally okay. It goes the same for girls. If I wanted some other guys cock, real or in rubber, I would not find that appropriate to get.

I don't think I'd really care at all, unless he preferred it way more than me.

I have videos of porn stars...having their genitals completely removed from their bodies, personalities and such doesn't make it cheating. Having the warm, fleshy live genitals attached to the whole person is cheating (if my partners don't know, and agree to it first).

if you think its a problem, then its a problem, other people's opinions aren't really relevant.

having said that I personally could care less, some people are just sensitive.

I felt I had to talk with my wife about it.. as a reviewer on here inevitably I'm going to be presented with the choice. In comparison there are a much smaller number of guy toys on here. Many of the masturbators are shaped like porn star genitals.

I agree, It's all relative to the individual or couples' points of view.

I don't think it's really about sensitivity or not though, it's more to do with your first statement... it may be that the person who has a problem with it is not looking at it from all angles, as Airen said "having their genitals completely removed from their bodies, personalities and such doesn't make it cheating." Some though may only see it from the point of view that if it looks like real genitals, then it's as good as the real thing.

No issue for us. We don't watch the porn. When looking for a new dildo we're looking at size, texture, quality etc - so we don't care if it's named after someone we don't know.

For myself, I wouldn't care if my partner had such a toy. And I would question any partner who had a problem with my having one. I use realistic toys all the time and any long-term partner would know this, and I don't think a porn star's toy would make any difference. At least it shouldn't.
