Sex Drive Drop - Help!

Contributor: Zarah Zarah
So, to give some context, both my husband and I normally have a very high sex drive. With a toddler at home, we don't get as much time and opportunity as we used to, but usually, when we get the chance, it's great.

Then, almost two months ago, I got the depo shot. I now realize that it was a mistake and I just don't do well with hormonal birth control. My sex drive has dropped, much to my dismay. I want to be turned on, but short of brief, fervent masturbation sessions when I can't sleep, nothing's going on. My husband is gorgeous and patient and an amazing lover. He loves to give me no-strings-attached oral sex. He keeps begging me to let him indulge my every fantasy and sexual whim. AND I WANT TO LET HIM. For some reason, though, I don't feel as sexually attracted to him lately, but it's not really him. I'm not feeling any sexual attraction to anyone (real, filmed or fictional)

How can I give my failing sex drive a jump start? Has anyone dealt with this before?

Hormonal changes commonly affect libido. Although people may share their experiences on the forums, you ultimately should talk to your doctor about the side effect.

that can be a very frustrating experience I'm sure. I know there are times when I feel the same way, especially after the little ones were born. Sounds like you have a great husband! I agree, talk to your doctor.
