Do you consider your familys opinion when picking out a boy/girl friend?

A bit, but that's because my parents are pretty good at spotting the girls who have issues, and I've had enough of that

It makes me take a second look at my relationship, but if I'm happy with it, their opinion doesn't matter.

I'll listen to their opinions but in the end it's my relationship and life, and my family has to respect that. Just like I'd do for them.

Yes, but would not base my decision only on it.

Yes, I do take what they think in consideration. It sucks because I'm so different than they are. I'm a submissive and they don't know that, so the fact that I'm currently dating a polyamorous married Dominant would not bode well with them. I haven't told them a lot of things about Him, and I plan to keep it that way for as long as I possibly can.

i appreciate their input but ultimately their values are very different from mine. i take the opinion of those with values close to mine much more seriously.

If I did take my families opinions into account, I don't think I'd be married right now.

We are supposed to be in dependant thinkers. It wouldn't help if we relied on our family's advice.

If I considered my family's opinions I would be heterosexual.

I would listen to what my family had to say, but I wouldn't take too much weight into it, mainly because my family is very straight and white/Asian and I don't particularly care about race or gender.
